Dolores Rubin was born on June 5, 1923 in the USA. She is known for The In-Laws (1979), Convoy (1978) and A Kiss Before Dying (1956). She was married to Dr. Sheldon Levin. She died on January 12, 2018 in San Francisco, California, USA.
In 1943, Dolores began her career as a messenger girl with MGM. She trained to be a script supervisor, and worked on a total of 80 films with prominent directors and producers including John Ford, John Huston, and Arthur Hiller.
Dolores made four films with Frank Sinatra, who was so impressed with her that he employed her as his Executive Assistant. She managed his four households for two years while Sinatra was between wives. Sinatra referred to Dolores as his "irreplaceable right arm" and his "Jewish mother".
Dolores was elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS) in 1960. She was a member of the Foreign Language Committee for the Oscars for over 40 years, most of them on the Executive Committee.
