The world lost a a treasure this week with the passing of Mad Libs creator Leonard B. Stern. Joe Kelly, among others, expressed his thanks to the man, and we at the Report here echo those words.
On another surprising (yet decidedly more upbeat) note, "Duke Nukem Forever" actually appears to be coming out in a few days. Kieron Gillen was all about that on his account. Karl Kerschl, meanwhile, has been playing "Darksiders," a game which inspired to give a shout-out to Joe Madureira. Those posts and Jim Lee's defense of "Game of Thrones" to Bryan Hitch can be found down below.

Wrestling fans reacted with mixed emotions after Edge announced his retirement from WWE. Jill Thompson, for one, wished him well. Meanwhile, Vito Delsante took the opportunity to kick up some conspiracy dust around Vince McMahon.
Ron Jeremy was on a few minds for some reason as well. Bendis wants to see him in a movie, while Pete Woods wished for a comic book featuring the adult film star. Their tweets, some "Doctor Who" commentary as the new season nears and a very special wish regarding ponies show up today after the jump.

Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell surprised some people when she won her primary race in Delaware; Ron Marz was among them. Ed Brubaker also wrestled with the week's news when he learned about plans for M. Night Shyamalan's "Night Chronicles" films.
Meanwhile, Rob Liefeld has welcomed Jesse Eisenberg as a casting choice in the new Facebook movie "The Social Network," and Brandon Jerwa wishes that someone at DC would welcome him on as a writer for a Firestorm book. Those tweets and Mark Millar's current hopes for a "Superior" film await you after the jump.

@ronmarz That's so cool that Rosie O'Donnell won in Delaware. Wait ... who? And she believes What?!
-Ron Marz, Writer ("Green Lantern," "Witchblade")
@brubaker So... all the "Night Chronicles" movies are going to take place inside single rooms? Is that the gimmick? First an elevator,...

Kevin Smith may have been asked to leave a Southwest Airlines flight out of Burbank over the weekend, but Stan Lee will sit next to him any day. The comics legend who made a famous cameo in "Mallrats" spoke up in defense of the director and occasional Marvel Comics writer. Others in the feed remained suspicious, though, such as Lea Hernandez, who suspects there may be a publicity stunt at work.
Across the country, toymakers convened on New York City for Toy Fair, and Todd McFarlane was among them. Find out what he got up to there, as well as which comics creator had a run-in with Taylor Lautner, who performed with Grant Morrison and who likes listening to Lady Gaga with his daughter.
It's all in the Twitter Report for February 17, 2010.
Kevin Smith pt. 1: @smilinstanlee Can't understand that airlines bit. My friend Kevin isn't paper thin, but he certainly isn't fat!

The last 24 hours have been exciting for comics-related movie watchers on Twitter. Not only did some behind-the-scenes posts pop up from "Thor" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World," two of the biggest upcoming releases in the genre, but Rob Liefeld dropped an eye-opening bomb about his defunct "Badrock" film — which he says almost happened in 1996 with "Twilight Saga: New Moon" director Chris Weitz.
Aside from those tweets, there's also a pretty spectacular Terry Moore Spider-Man sketch waiting after the jump. Check that out, along with Tony Moore's answer to fanboy hate, Simon Pegg's thoughts on Scotty in "Star Trek" and a prediction for the English language from Jeffrey Rowland.

Edgar Wright had to broadcast a warning tweet today after accidentally getting some followers' hopes up that he was in the process of uploading the first trailer for "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World." It would have been incredibly retro of him if he were actually using a dial-up connection as he originally posted.
Meanwhile, Todd McFarlane uploaded a scene from his Halloween weekend that may be fake, but remember: this is the man who created Spawn. Baseball didn't seem to be nearly as popular a tweet topic last night as it has been throughout the rest of the World Series. Matt Fraction, however, expressed his wishes to see the Phillies and Yankees drag out the post-season as long as possible. Check out what he tweeted, along with Paul Pope's dream about Russell Crowe and what Jeffrey Rowland learned about "Twilight."
