Wondering what you’ll watch when The Hunger Games franchise is over? We’ve got some ideas…
As well as sequels, remakes, and comic book adaptations, there’s one kind of movie you can feel fairly sure is going to keep popping up at a cinema near you: young adult adaptations. Stories about teenagers are still doing big business in the book trade, and thanks to Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Hunger Games, Hollywood is convinced of the genre’s appeal, too.
A couple of new franchises have already been kicked off – there’s still at least another Divergent sequel on the way, and another Maze Runner sequel – but what’s more interesting is the list of Ya novels that have been optioned and may soon be taking over the box office. Now, not all of the adaptations on this list will see the light of day,...

Three’s Company, “A Man About the House”
Written by Johnnie Mortimer, Brian Cooke, Don Nicholl, Michael Ross, Bernard West,
Directed by Bill Hobin
Aired March 15th, 1977 on ABC
Three’s Company was the ‘Friends’ of its day; a sit-com about three twenty-somethings sharing an apartment in Santa Monica California going through the ups and downs of life for the singles set of the late 70s. The American version of the UK show ‘Man About the House’, Tc was considered a groundbreaking show. Hard to believe just over 30 years ago men and women living under one roof as platonic friends was not only a novel idea for television, but a shocking and controversial premise. Juvenile jokes, double-entendres, and ridiculous plotlines were all part of the fun, but Tc was also a true reflection of the shifting morals and values of young America arriving in the last days of disco and jiggle TV.

One man's trash is another man's treasure -- at least according to an ex-'Real World: Las Vegas' star, who's taking America's old, broken Apple products ... and turning them into charity gold. It's pretty cool ... Michael Ross -- aka the straight-laced guy from 'Rw' season 25 -- just started a non-profit called Greenest Genius that fixes up Macs, iPads, and iPods ... then donates a portion of the refurbished material back to impoverished children around the world. Now...

As the 2012 elections loom, both parties are starting to pour resources into congressional and gubernatorial races across the country. While Republicans work to regain control of the Senate, Democrats are vying to pick up seats in the Gop-controlled House. Below, a rundown of election news happening beyond the presidential field.
Robert Redford Endorses Martin Chavez
Robert Redford announced Friday he's endorsing Martin Chavez for the New Mexico congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Martin Heinrich (R), who is making a bid for the Senate. Redford said in a statement:
Throughout my life I have sought to inspire positive social and environmental change by encouraging creative solutions and innovative problem solving. Never have these approaches been more pertinent to the issues we face as a nation and in order to meet the needs of the next generation of Americans, we must elect leaders who understand how to get the results we need.

At the end of last year, with the drab failure of Ridley Scott's Robin Hood still pretty fresh in everyones' minds, Warner Bros. decided to move ahead with yet another take on the mythological hero, hiring The Wachowskis to tackle Hood, a "modern, urban" take on the man who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. Since then the Wachowskis have seemingly done everything but that movie, putting together the cast for their next film with Tom Tykwer Cloud Atlas and maybe even developing another project called Jupiter Rising. So it probably comes as no surprise to hear that Warner Bros. has started developing an entirely different Robin Hood project in the meantime. Deadline reports that the studio has hired Michael Ross to rewrite a "futuristic Robin Hood project" that's set for Nicolai Fuglsig to direct. The project has been in works at the studio since August...

Briefly: One of the bigger laughs we had last year came via the announcement [1] that the Wachowskis were attached to write and direct Hood, an urban retelling of the Robin Hood story. (With Will Smith attached to star.) The project didn't exactly make waves, and rather fell off the radar as the Wachowskis moved into developing Cloud Atlas with Tom Tykwer; they'll shoot that film later this year. Hood became something like a 2010 footnote: "remember this awful-sounding thing they flirted with before taking home the arty prom queen?" On a parallel track, Warner Bros. has been slowly developing another Robin Hood film, this one a futuristic take set in "a dystopian London and center on a band of thieves whose activities restore hope to the city’s embattled population." Jason Dean Hall was hired to write in 2009, and commercial director Nicolai Fuglsig attached to direct. Now Deadline [2] says that Michael Ross is rewriting the film.

Haven't heard a peep from this project in a while. It was first discussed back in 2009 that they are looking to remake Robin Hood with a futuristic setting. It seems now, that they are finally inching closer to production. Oh wait, never mind. They just lost the Wachowski brothers to direct it.
Warner Brothers announced that they hired a writer to pen the script for the film in Michael Ross. Who is Michael Ross?...

Michael Ross has been hired to rewrite the futuristic Robin Hood take for Warner Bros. Deadline reports that the film has commercials director Nicolai Fuglsig attached to helm. Charles Roven, Richard Suckle and Gianni Nunnari are set to produce the film. The initial draft was penned by Jason Dean Hall. The story is "set in dystopian London, and the band whose brazen thievery restores hope in the beleaguered population."
This sounds like a pretty cool concept. I have loved the traditional takes on this classic character, but I like the change to the future setting, What are your thoughts on this news?

Update: This is actually a separate project from the one that the Wachowskis were developing with Will Smith. Read the original story below
Say what? About which character? In what time period?
Warner Bros. has hired writer Michael Ross to rewrite a script concerning Robin Hood in the future. Jason Dean Hall (the guy who wrote the not-that-bad David Mackenzie-directed film Spread) wrote the first draft of the script. Commercial director Nicolai Fuglsig is also now attached to direct the film. [Deadline]
This version of Robin of the Hood takes place in a futuristic, dystopic London (what isn’t dystopic these days?) where the hero and his Merry Men steal from the rich and give to the, well, you know.
Fuglsig has proven himself a very capable, effects-heavy director (see below). That said, this is a tired story that seems ready for a bit of a narrative break (though I...

This week's players are all housemates on the newest season of The Real World. Which of them would you Marry, Bury, or Do?
Leroy Garrett
Leroy works as a sanitation worker in Dallas, but dreams of moving to California one day. His friends describe him as an “open, reliable guy,” so what better place to spend your time than on a show where everyone is definitely super dependable and reasonable all the time?
Dustin Zito
This friendly Southern gentleman appears to be the house's resident offbeat charmer, but those with, shall we say, prurient interests might recognize his gay-for-pay alter ego Spencer from the adult site Fratpad, which the other housemates haven't caught wind of just yet.
Michael Ross
Libertarian, religious Michael seems to have fallen into the role of the season's “nice guy,” having only recently lost his virginity (which by Real World standards probably still counts as being...
