Liverpool, Aug 19 (Ians) Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota scored a goal apiece as Liverpool came from behind to beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1 in their first home game of the new Premier League season at Anfield here on Saturday.
This was also Liverpool’s first win in the 2023 season after they started their campaign with a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first round last week.
In other early matches on Saturday, Fulham were thrashed 3-0 by Brentford while Wolverhampton Wolves went down 1-4 to Brighton.
Diaz, Salah and Jota got the goals to overturn Antoine Semenyo’s third-minute opener on an eventful home match in which Alexis Mac Allister received a straight red card for a foul on Ryan Christie just before the hour.
Diaz’s second strike in as many matches in the 2023-24 season was added to by Salah, who scored the rebound after Neto had saved his penalty,...

Madrid, March 29 (Ians) “It’s a painful defeat and we have to improve,” Luis de la Fuente’s glorious revolution as the new coach of the Spanish national team lasted just two games after his second ended in a painful 2-0 defeat to Scotland in Glasgow.
While it’s fair to say that the Scots have vastly improved under Steve Clarke and clearly had the bit between their teeth from the moment Scott McTominay put them ahead in the seventh minute, Spain was unable to match them and left the pitch in Glasgow after a chastening experience that leaves a lot of question marks over their future, reports Xinhua news agency.
Hopes were high for the former Under-21 coach, De la Fuente, after Spain kicked off their European Championship qualifying campaign with a 3-0 win over Norway on Saturday night, with Joselu scoring two goals in five minutes after coming on as a late substitute.

Glasgow (Scotland), March 29 (Ians) Scott McTominay scored twice as Scotland beat Spain 2-0 in their Euro 2024 qualifier tie on Tuesday night to move top of their group with two wins from two matches.
McTominay scored early in each half as Scotland produced a solid display which left Spain few options in the first defeat of Luis de la Fuente’s time as head coach.
De la Fuente made eight changes to the side which had beaten Norway 3-0 on Saturday, with only goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and central midfielders Rodri and Mikel Merino keeping their places, while Scotland coach Steve Clarke brought Lyndon Dykes in for the injured Che Adams and McTominay also started after having scored twice against Cyprus, a Xinhua report said.

Over two years after Netflix’s “Tiger King” took streaming by storm — and just a few months after Peacock’s own fictional series about Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic premiered — Peacock is bringing a new story of cats and crime to the docuseries space. The first trailer for “Dangerous Breed: Crime. Cons. Cats,” a new true docuseries about wrestler Teddy Hart, was released by the streamer on Wednesday.
Canadian nonfiction filmmaker Frederick Kroetsch, whose previous works include series like “Queen of the Oil Patch” and films like “Last of the Fur Traders,” directs the series, which focuses on the 10 years he spent filming Edward Ellsworth Annis, a wrestler on the independent circuit known by the ring name Teddy Hart.
A controversial figure known for his legal problems and his side gig as a Persian cat breeder, Hart was seen by Kroetsch as the perfect subject for a new reality show.

If you track with kids TV shows you’ll be aware of Pj Masks. If you aren’t then you don’t have children of a certain age.
The show stars three child heroes who gain special powers when they put on their pajamas. It’s all very cute and with some nice collaborative and team work messages.
Along with the recent video-game releases, there are new toys this year. Here’s an early look at what they have to offer from a test family. The star of the show is the Pj Masks Rival Racers playset and the fun Pj Masks Transforming playsets. There are also new Pj Masks Outfits for would-be heroes.

Unless you’ve got five year olds you won’t have heard of Hasbro’s next big thing on YouTube. Hanazuki is a young girl stranded on a moon who must battle the Big Bad to escape.
So far, so Disney Junior. However, Hanazuki has an unusual twist. She must use her emotions to succeed. And not just the nice ones we like talking to children about — happy, joy, love, peace and so on — no, she also takes on some dark emotions too: anger, sadness. What results is a show with more substance than it really has rights to.
As is the way of these things, Hanazuki had an app launched this month and will have a range of toys to go with it coming in the Autumn. I had an early look at them (thank you Hasbro) and have to say I’m impressed.
