Star Trek is probably the most successful science fiction franchise of all time spanning six decades of science fiction storytelling. Surveying a TNT landscape that in recent weeks saw Dallas and other dramas fall by the wayside, Major Crimes creator James Duff does not take for granted the fact that The Closer‘s spin-off thus far has reaped relatively easy renewals.
“We’ve been incredibly lucky,” Duff told TVLine during a Q&A previewing the crime drama’s upcoming winter run. “Believe me when I say that we are all very aware of the rarified air in which we exist at the moment” – especially with former Fox boss Kevin Reilly about to take the reins at the cable network.

You aren't going to find Andy Samberg at a loss for words very often. But it happened at the 2014 Golden Globes, when he beat out fellow nominees (and huge names) Michael J. Fox, Jim Parsons, Jason Bateman, and Don Cheadle for Best Actor -- TV Series, Comedy or Musical for his role as Jake Peralta on Fox's new comedy, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."
Maybe it was because "Saturday Night Live" buddy Seth Myers introduced him in the nominations as "The Andy Samberg."
Full speech is as follows, and you can tell, he really wasn't prepared for this honor, and the giggles from the audience proved it:
"Oh no! I didn't prepare anything. It wasn't gonna happen. You guys -- the Globes, right? Who knew?! I guess I'll just thank everyone. Thanks to Fox, and Kevin Riley, and Universal/NBC Universal. And, uh, you know, the guys who came up with the show,...

Out doing promotion for Fox's new supernatural series "Sleepy Hollow" over the weekend, the show's executive producers Len Wiseman and Alex Kurtzman spoke about some of the monsters that we'll see in upcoming episodes.
Wiseman says they have a version of The Scarecrow coming up, while Kurtzman hints at a new take on the various Gollum mythologies of the world.
Episodes down the line will also explore the backstory of the headless horseman and how he came to be what he is. There's also the blurred demonic figure which will be gradually revealed over the course of the first season.
Kurtzman says that Fox wouldn't move forward with the series until the producers had an overall plan for the show and where it was headed. He tells Screen Rant:
"It’s interesting because Fox was very vigilant about making sure we had a big plan and it was really to...

The spring premiere of "Glee" kicks off on Tuesday, April 10. To honor the return of the New Directions crew, a special episode of Bravo's "Inside The Actors Studio" featuring the "Glee" cast will air the night before (April 9 at 8 p.m. Et).
In the clip below, "The Birth Of Sue Sylvester," the show's creator Ryan Murphy discusses exactly what made Sue (played by Jane Lynch) come alive. "Kevin Riley said, 'You've failed in this script because there's no villain. And that's not like you,'" Murphy says of Fox's entertainment president.
Murphy decided to make Lynch an offer she couldn't refuse: A character described as a woman who "may or may not have posed for Penthouse, but she definitely takes horse estrogen."
In another clip, Murphy admits that a lot of the plot comes from the actors themselves.
"No one's better than Ryan at taking person, looking at them, finding...
