Last year it was announced that Rupert Grint was starring and executive producing Crackle’s new series “Snatch.” Now, during the streaming network’s panel at the Television Critics Association, they released the first trailer, which features the actor as the posh con man Charlie Cavendish.
The 10-episode, one-hour series is loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 comedy of the same name, starring Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Inspired by a real-life heist in London, the series centers on a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Jason Statham is out and Rupert Grint is in. Here's the trailer for the TV remake of Snatch...
Guy Ritchie's 2000 movie Snatch is the latest film to get a TV remake. The original film, of course, starred the legendary Jason Statham alongside a bloke named Brad Pitt.
See related Power Rangers, boob armour, and impractical costumes
The TV take on Snatch will star Harry Potter's Ron Weasley actor Rupert Grint. He'll play Charlie Cavendish, who's been described as “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic, and utterly posh.”
Here's the first trailer...
The show's cast also includes Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible II, Taken 3, Fear The Walking Dead) as Vic Hill, and Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl as Sonny Castillo. Fans of the film will notice that these are brand new character names, not recastings of the old crew.
Here's the synopsis, which, again, isn't identical to the film...

At its 2016 Upfront presentation, Sony Pictures’ Crackle announced Snatch, a ten-episode series based off the film of the same name. Now, that project has its leading man. Crackle has announced the principal cast of Snatch, and at the center is Rupert Grint, the actor best known for portraying Ron Weasley in the eight Harry Potter films.
If you’ve seen the original 2000 film on which Crackle’s new series is based, you may wonder which role is going to Grint. Will he portray Brad Pitt’s character? Jason Statham’s? Benicio del Toro’s? The answer is none of them. While the upcoming series is set in the world of the Snatch movie, it will feature a completely original story that will hit on the same sort of themes (organized crime, urban violence, etc.) that were present in Guy Ritchie’s film. Grint will lead the way as Charlie Cavendish,...

3.6 Death Of A Hero
Now this is more like it. After two largely disappointing weeks, Death Of A Hero catapults itself to be the clear best of the season to date. We have been promised a darker season and although we shouldn’t get caught in the usual trap of equating ‘being dark’ with an automatic stamp of quality (yes Arrow seasons 3 & 4 we’re looking at you!), the show was in desperate need of adding some peril and tension to what is at times a pedestrian adventure for the heroes. This week we finally got to see the Musketeers in something that reasonably equates to danger with some good old fashioned ‘they couldn’t have survived that’ thrown in for good measure. We also got some stand-out moments...

2.10 Trial And Punishment
So this is it, the end of series 2. It’s been a fair old journey with some excellent highs and fortunately not many lows (not to mention far too many interruptions – damn you sport and charity!). The series finale often seems to linger, perhaps unfairly, as the one remembered by most and considered a yard stick for the run as a whole. In that respect, Trial And Punishment (written by Simon Allen and directed by Nicholas Renton), is a fitting end to what has been a really strong season.
Perhaps the most vivid image from last week's preview was of a haunted Constance being led to the executioner. It was with some surprise then, that this opened the episode, as...

This week's penultimate series two episode sets the stage for a memorable Musketeers finale...
This review contains spoilers.
2.9 The Accused
Written by The Return's Simon J Ashford and directed by Nicholas Renton (who also directs next week's finale), The Accused continues straight on from the end of The Prodigal Father and fortunately loses little of the pace and impact.
Yes, The Accused had much to live up to, as it was clear the Musketeers’ world was about to be turned upside down as Rochefort’s plan finally kicked into high gear. Not only that, but as the penultimate episode of the season, its job was clear – bring everything together to deliver a finale fitting of the highs that the show has routinely hit. I’m pleased to say that the scene is set for a memorable series end.
Stepping into such esteemed shoes as Capaldi’s was always going to be a big ask,...
