- Tended to date singers, including Elvis Presley, Bobby Rydell and Vic Damone, whom she later married.
- A vivacious blonde beauty groomed by Paramount, she is best known for her featured role in the Elvis Presley film G.I. Blues (1960).
- After her brief career was over, she became secretary to her husband Vic Damone. They divorced in 1971 and she becomes addicted to prescription drugs due to a spinal injury. She died three years later of a drug overdose (Darvon) in her Bel Air home. The County Coroner's office listed it as probable suicide. The death certificate listed it as accidental.
- Had three daughters with her ex-husband, Vic Damone: Victoria Catherine (b. 8/8/65), Andrea Joanna (n. 10/18/66) and Daniela Ellen (b. 7/20/68).
- She was born to a family in Wisconsin. They moved to southern California when she was quite young.
