- Louis Ralph was born on August 17, 1884 in Graz, Styria, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He was an actor and director, known for Flucht vor Blond (1928), Glanz und Elend der Kurtisanen (1920) and Spies (1928). He died in September 1952 in Berlin, Germany.
- Austrian actor/director of silent era adventure and action films. Began on stage in 1894. His career declined after the arrival of sound.
- When the talkies rang in a new era in the film business he concentrated to his activity as an actor in the first place. He impersonated impressive support roles in great productions like Alfred Hitchcock's "Mary/Sir John greift ein" (1931).
