She won the very first Bath Museum of Costume "Dress of the Year" award
in 1963.
She was awarded with the O.B.E. (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 1966 Queen's New Years Honours List for her services to British fashion and founded her cosmetics line the same year.
Published her autobiography, "Quant By Quant" in 1966.
In 1955 she, Alexander Plunket Greene, and Archie McNair opened their
first Bazaar shop in London on King's Road and in 1961 they opened a
second in Knightsbridge.
First gained fame in the 1960s as the inventor of the mini-skirt.
