Pat's career goal was to become a "Weatherman" ever since he was in the
fourth grade at the age of 9. He received a bachelor's degree of
Science in Physics from Murray State University in 1975 with formal
meteorological education earned from the graduate school of meteorology
of St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. He also acquired a 15
month education in broadcast speech and techniques from a private
broadcast school while attending graduate school in St. Louis.
His first broadcast job began at KOAM in Pittsburgh, Kansas / Joplin
Missouri in 1977, coming to Savannah after a brief stay in Wichita,
Kansas at KARD.
Pat has extensive education in astronomy and is well versed in computer
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and PERL (Practical Extraction Report
Language) programing. He developed the WTOCTV.COM web site shortly
after the World Wide Web was conceived in 1994.
As a hobby, Pat loves to garden. He currently has several hundred
different varieties of exotic daylilies at his home and at the TV
station "Weather" garden that he continues to develop and maintain.
Pat is a broadcast Meteorologist employed at WTOC in
Savannah, GA since 1980.
