- "The Lion In Winter" was produced by Martin Poll, when Lee and Martin, husband and wife, were home based and living in New York City. Lee Poll had been assisting Broadway and Film costume designers living in New York. When Martin produced the "Lion In Winter" film, located in a remote French castle, Lee was with her husband in France, helping Martin with his producing duties. The costumes/wardrobe for the film was being constructed in London, shipped to the French village location. When filming started, costumes and wardrobe had not arrived, nor props. Additional problems occurred on the sets with props and when set dressings failed to appear. Martin placed Lee in charge of the art department requirement. Lee designed and had wardrobe made for the actors' appearances during filming schedule, preventing delays in the production. Lee did the same for the location set logistics and decorating. Lee never received recognition nor credit for keeping the film on schedule, and delivering the costume and set requirements required for the location's production values.
- Lee Poll was part of the the pack of (actress') girls on "Steel Magnolias". Ray Stark had Lee, and her Lead man, Bill Gregory, decorate the satellite rehearsal hall and adjacent dining room for "the girls" on his movie! Should anyone refer that Lee was a Jewish Princess, she replied, "no, I am a Goddess".
