“It’s been 30 years. Maybe it’s time to rekindle the flame of Nicole.”
Lifetime has officially announced its forthcoming docuseries on Nicole Brown Simpson, timed to the 30-year anniversary of her death. Titled The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and billed as an explosive two-night event, the four-part series will premiere June 1 and 2 at 8 p.m. Et/Pt.
Lifetime has released a trailer for the docuseries (below), which features her three sisters — Denise, Dominique and Tanya Brown — speaking about Nicole, the ex-wife of O.J. Simpson who was found murdered in 1994 outside her Brentwood condominium. Nicole and Simpson were married for seven years and shared two children, Sydney and Justin. Simpson was famously accused and acquitted of her murder, as well as the murder of Ron Goldman. The fallen football star was later found liable for both of their deaths in a 1997 civil lawsuit.
Simpson died April 10 from metastatic prostate cancer.

There’s change on the high seas of Banijay.
Christian Sarabia, President of 51 Minds Entertainment, the production company behind Bravo hit Below Deck, is stepping down from the Banijay Americas-owned business.
Julie Pizzi, President of fellow Banijay-backed firm Bunim/Murray, will add overseeing 51 Minds to her responsibilities running the Real World producer.
It is the latest change for the group; earlier this year, Cris Abrego, who founded 51 Minds, stepped down as CEO of Banijay Americas with Ben Samek taking over that role and Abrego remaining as Chairman. There’s been much speculation about Abrego’s own role in recent months.
Sarabia has been with 51 Minds for many years, having produced series such as The Surreal Life and Flavor of Love. He took the reins at the company in 2014 after Abrego became one of the top execs at the-then titled Endemol North America and the departure of co-founder Mark Cronin.

Sylvester Stallone knows a thing or two about sequels, from the Rocky and Rambo franchises to The Expendables and a forthcoming Cliffhanger reboot.
The latest follow-up on the three-time Oscar nominee’s résumé is a second season of The Family Stallone, the Paramount+ reality series featuring Stallone; his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone; and their daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet. The streamer’s pickup comes just a week after the series premiered.
The unscripted show is Stallone’s second at Paramount+; he also stars in Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter’s Tulsa King, which has also been renewed for a second season.
The Family Stallone, like a number of celebrity docuseries before it, follows the family dynamics between Sly and Jennifer and their adult daughters. The show’s logline promises viewers “a seat at the table of one of Hollywood’s most famous families.”

Vanessa Hudgens is ushering in a new season: the season of the witch.
Hudgens is known for her triple-threat talents, from acting in “Spring Breakers” to singing in “Tick, Tick…Boom!” to dancing in “Grease Live!” and starring in franchises like Netflix’s “The Princess Switch” and Disney’s “High School Musical.” But her latest project is her most personal yet — she is embarking on a spiritual journey in Salem with her best friend, musician Gg Magree, for the unscripted film, “Dead Hot.”
“Dead Hot” — which premieres April 14 on Tubi — is a true passion project for Hudgens and Magree, who are fascinated with the spirit world and came up with the idea to document their experience together. In the film, the duo set out to Salem, Mass., where they explore witchcraft, ghost hunting and connect with spirits.
“It was a lot more personal than anything I’ve ever done,” Hudgens tells Variety.

Sylvester Stallone is expanding his footprint at Paramount+. The streamer has picked up The Family Stallone, a new docuseries featuring the star of Tulsa King, along with his real-life wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone and their daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.
The eight-part series will premiere exclusively on the service this spring in the U.S and Canada. It will be teased in a “Mountain of Entertainment” spot titled “Stallone’s Face” during the Super Bowl (see above).
For years, Stallone has shared pictures and videos on Instagram of his daughters, all of whom have become social media stars in their own right. In the new series, Paramount+ promises to “offer a seat at the table of one of Hollywood’s most famous families” by showing how the Oscar-winning actor is simply Dad at home.
Flavin Stallone is described as a “savvy businesswoman and co-owner of the wellness brand Serious Skin Care.

If the last few seasons of “The Challenge” seemed a bit different — and a bit too focused on confusing twists and themes — don’t fret. MTV’s upcoming 38th season is heading back to basics.
“I think in the past few seasons, even going back to ‘Total Madness,’ they’ve been kind of tough themes to follow — like, who’s a liar, who’s a spy and who’s an outlier? Historically, what does the best for us is simple concepts where we can pick our winners and pick our horses and watch it unfold,” veteran player Jordan Wiseley said on the latest episode of the “Reality Rundown” podcast. “Casting wise, we went back to our roots. You have to cast outside of the pool to expand the show. I understand what we’re doing. We’re the best competition show globally, we have to bring in those new people.
