Active, from 1965, on radio as a voice actress for the East German network Rundfunk der DDR. Also a noted dubbing actress in German for Bernadette Lafont, Marlène Jobert, Brigitte Bardot and Claudia Cardinale.
After attending a commercial school, she began working at age 17 as a secretary for the East German publisher Karl Dietz Verlag. Simultaneously, she studied at an acting school and took private lessons from Eduard von Winterstein.
Made her breakthrough in a recurring role in the medical TV series 'Zahn um Zahn' (1985-1988). In 1990, she appeared in the title role of a spin-off, 'Klein, aber Charlotte'.
On screen as an actress from 1958. Joined the East German television (DFF) the following year.
