A former Covid-19 compliance supervisor for Dexter: New Blood is suing Paramount Global, alleging she was hindered from doing her job and ultimately fired to keep the production on track.
In a lawsuit filed on Thursday in New York federal court, Jennifer Lyon says she was excluded from meetings, provided minimal resources and undermined when she raised Covid compliance concerns in an intentional effort to obstruct her attempts to follow virus protocols. While she was told she had far-reaching authority that extended to halting production, she claims she actually had a toothless position with little power.
Lyon, who has worked on several big-budget series filmed during the pandemic, according to the complaint, made accusations that the Dexter production and — in her view — others like it subverted Covid protocols: Staff compliance departments with incompetent employees and hamstring qualified workers by diminishing their authority,...

As Hillary Clinton ends the primaries as the first-ever female presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Bernie Sanders doesn't seem quite ready to let go, charging that superdelegates could still help him become party's leader. Yet, with 1,812 pledged delegates and 571 superdelegates, according to ABC News, Clinton has enough support to claim victory. So what's next for the Vermont senator's steadfast troop, which includes former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura, and New York state senator Bill Perkins? "Based on past history, I'd expect most Sanders supporters to rally behind Clinton for the general election,...

Here at Dread Central we're inundated with e-mails every day pertaining to filmmakers who want us to cover their Kickstarter projects. Nine times out of ten we pass because if we didn't we'd be writing all day and who knows if said projects will ever even get made (that is if you're not Veronica Mars).
That being said we only try and cover the ones which we think have a real shot at making it. Such is the case with Stevan Mena and his sequel to both Malevolence and Bereavement entitled Malevolence 3.
From the Press Release
Stevan Mena’s debut feature film Malevolence was a surprise hit when it was released theatrically and on DVD. Intended...
