- She was a puppeteer best known for creating Topo Gigio, whose name is Italian for "Louie Mouse". He was part puppet, part marionette, and appeared on Italian TV shows before spreading to Swiss, German, Dutch, and Spanish TV. He became a hit in Japan and a frequent visitor on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in the United States. His voice was provided by Italian actor Peppino Mazzullo.
