- Peck never met his father, who died in 2013. In his memoir "Happy People Are Annoying", Peck revealed that his father was a well-to-do, 62-year-old married co-worker of his mother, and his birth was the result of an extramarital affair. Peck's father made a large one-time payment to his mother to conceal his paternity. Peck had never seen a picture of his father until his 20s, and has never met his paternal half-siblings.
