THR reports that "Black Sails" and Maleficent star Hannah New (pictured) has joined the cast of the thriller, which was written and directed by Myrick.
Based on true events, Under the Bed centers on a young woman (New) trying to get over a recent romantic breakup, while unbeknownst to her, an obsessed stalker befriends her on social media while taking up residence in her home.
Principal photography is set to begin sometime early this month.
Shawn Papazian is producing along with Radar Pictures' Ted Field and Mike Weber, who developed the project, which started as a story by Myrick and producer Richard Halpern.

Cult indie horror favorite The Blair Witch Project director Daniel Myrick has teamed up with digital advertising and marketing agency engage:bdr for Reemco, a comedy series co-produced by Family Guy and Shameless star Alex Borstein. The 10-part series will follow the life and family of a famous fictional TV pitchman, Gilbert T. Reem. "When I was growing up, during the holidays there were commercials for home improvement products from this manufacturer Romco, who produced devices like inside-the-egg scramblers, pocket fisherman, and other wacky home gadgets," Myrick told Tubefilter. Since then, an entire subculture of 'as seen on TV' products has emerged with the pitchman at the front of the movement—think Vince from Sham Wow and Slap Chop. In its spoof of infomercial culture, the series will include a slew of faux-advertisements for Reemco's line of fictional products, blurring the lines between fiction and reality—a hallmark of Myrick's creations.

Pepsi-Cola North America is launching an original online series in the summer.
The soda giant will serve as its own studio for a serialized action-adventure production from film writer-directors Shawn Papazian and Art Brown ("Rest Stop: Don't Look Back") that will be a branded-entertainment play for soft drink Mountain Dew. The untitled project will bow in June on Web sites still being determined.
But in a twist, viewers will able to alter the story line by selecting from a menu of options after each episode that take the series in different creative directions, akin to the "Choose Your Own Adventure" book franchise.
"Putting this kind of interactivity in the story line allows the consumer to have some engagement with the brand," Pepsi vp marketing Frank Cooper said.
The project will bow in the form of five shortform interlinked episodes, which will be followed up by a batch of more episodes at a date to be determined. Cooper didn't rule out eventually migrating the property to TV or DVD.
