Kim Cattrall has confirmed what all Sex and the City fans knew deep in their heart of hearts: That an extremely short And Just Like That cameo, filmed without being on the same set as — or even directly speaking to — any of her former co-stars, is as much of a return as she’ll ever make to the franchise.
“This is as far as I’m gonna go,” Cattrall told Today with a laugh and absolutely no hesitation whatsoever when asked if briefly reprising her role as Samantha Jones had...

Actress Naomi Watts announced on Instagram that she has married fellow actor Billy Crudup.
In a picture posted to Instagram, she captioned the post “Hitched” of the two of them with their arms around each other outside of a Manhattan courthouse looking admiringly at each other.
They first met back in 2017, when they acted as a married couple in Netflix’s Gypsy. The actress, who starred in King Kong and Mulholland Drive, wore an elaborate dress embellished with florals designed by Oscar De La Renta accompanied by white flowers that were from a deli.
The groom, who starred in The Morning Show and Rudderless, wore a navy blue tuxedo and a white button-down.
They commemorated their special day with friends and artists Mark Ruffalo and Josh Hamilton.
For her hair, she worked with hairstylist Ryan Trygstad for a classic side parted-do and makeup artist Kyra Panchenko for a clean presence.

Emily Blunt is no stranger to switching up her appearance or her physique to accommodate the film she’s doing. She had to go through a similar process for Girl on the Train, where she couldn’t stand her transformation.
Why Emily Blunt signed up for ‘Girl on the Train’ Emily Blunt | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Girl on the Train was a 2016 psychological thriller based on Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name written. Blunt played alcoholic Rachel Watson, a character who found herself entangled in a missing persons case. The book was already a worldwide phenomenon before it hit theaters. Blunt was able to recognize its popularity from her travels alone.
“I hadn’t read the book when I got approached about it. I’d just seen everyone reading the book on vacation or on the subway — the train! So when I was approached, I read it and very quickly...

“Coming 2 America” dominated the Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild on Feb. 19 winning all three of its bids. The sequel to the comedy classic won both contemporary awards plus the special make-up prize. The period/character awards went to the makeup of “Cruella” and the hairstyling of “Being the Ricardos.”
This haul positions “Coming 2 America” well for the Academy Awards. In the first eight years of these guild awards, the eventual Oscar winner claimed at least one prize here first. Of its four rivals for Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the Oscars, only “Cruella” came away from here a winner. Both “House of Gucci” and “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” were bested in all three of their races while “Dune” was a two-time also-ran.
The Oscar and Emmy-winning makeup artist Michèle Burke and the Emmy-winning hair stylist Joy Zapata were feted with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild got a jump on the Oscars by announcing nominations on January 11. Of the 10 films that remain in the running for Best Makeup and Hairstyling at the Oscars, eight are vying for these precursor prizes. “House of Gucci,” “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” “Coming 2 America” and “The Suicide Squad” reaped three bids apiece with the guild; “Cruella,” “Dune” and “No Time to Die” earned two each; and “West Side Story” has one.
Two films still in contention at the Academy Awards — “Cyrano” and “Nightmare Alley” — were snubbed by the guild. Conversely, five of the Muahs favorites — “Being the Ricardos,” “Black Widow,” “Don’t Look Up,” “In the Heights” and “The Matrix Resurrections” — didn’t make the cut with the academy in phase 1 of voting.

“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” got a big boost in the Oscar race for Best Makeup and Hairstyling by winning both of its bids at the guild honors on April 3. The Netflix film was honored for its period makeup and period hairstyling at the 8th annual Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards on Saturday.
One of its Oscar rivals – “Pinocchio” — claimed the special effects prize. Two of the other Oscar nominees were shut out as “Hillbilly Elegy” lost all three of its races here and “Mank” was blanked twice over. The fifth contender at the Academy Awards, “Emma,” was overlooked by the guild.

The Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild got a jump on the Oscars by announcing nominations on February 18. But don’t look for four-time contender “Bill & Ted Face the Music” or three-timer “Mulan” on the list of Oscar nominees for Best Makeup and Hairstyling when that roster is revealed on March 15. They didn’t make the cut with the academy in phase 1 of voting.
Of the 10 films that remain in the running at the Oscars, “Hillbilly Elegy” reaped three bids with the guild; “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn),” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and “Mank” earned two apiece; and “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey” and “Pinocchio” have one each.
The other four films shortlisted by the makeup artists and hair stylists branch of the academy — “Emma,” “The Glorias,”
“The Little Things” and “One Night in Miami” — were snubbed by the guild.

Five of the seven semi-finalists for Best Makeup & Hairstyling at the Oscars — “Black Panther,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Mary Queen of Scots,” “Stan & Ollie” and “Vice” — reaped bids with the guild, which announced nominations in five film categories on Thursday, Jan. 10 (halfway through the Oscar nominations voting period). The other two Academy Awards semi-finalists — the Swedish film “Border” and Luca Guadagnino‘s remake of “Suspiria” — was snubbed by the Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild.
“Vice,” which we are predicting will win the Oscar, contends in period/character makeup as well as special makeup effects while its closest Academy Awards rival, “Black Panther” is up for just special makeup effects. Our third-place Oscar contender “Mary Queen of Scots” vies for both period/character makeup and hairstyling

Can you guess which Oscar-winning movie star has undergone something of a transformation for her role in Amy Schumer's new comedy Trainwreck?
It's none other than Tilda Swinton, who is looking more Tess Daly than White Witch of Narnia in her role as ruthless magazine editor Dianna in the new Judd Apatow film.
Speaking about the 54-year-old actress's character, make-up artist Kyra Panchenko explained to Entertainment Weekly: "She's over the top, over-tanned, and does everything in the biggest way.
"Tilda kept saying in her cute accent, 'I'm a hot mess'."
Swinton was given full creative control over her pushy character's style and look, and eventually based it on former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld.
"We had a little bit of Carine happening in a very respectful way," Panchenko added.
