Ball in Touch: Following the excitement and thrill of the London 2012 Olympic Games, we look at why the shortened version of rugby union will thrive at the next Olympic Games in Rio in four years time. Let us know if you are looking forward to it and get involved using the comments below or on Twitter @ballintouch
Here at Ball in Touch towers we joined in with the nation in embracing the Olympic spirit, following the exploits of various athletes we didn’t know doing sports we didn’t fully understand and cheering them on regardless. A spectacular two weeks made heroes and icons out of those both well known and those less so. But whilst we were perfecting our Mo-bot in between events, there was one nagging thought that kept reoccurring in the back of our minds. ‘If only the rugby had been part of it’.

Batman: Arkham Asylum holds a Guinness World Record for most acclaimed superhero game thanks to its average review score of 91.67, so you won't be shocked that a sequel is on its way.
Arriving this October is Batman: Arkham City, in which Gotham's slums are used to create a prison community that the caped crusader must enter to stop Two-Face from executing Catwoman.
And in more DC Comics-related goodness, a month earlier sees the arrival of a new TV show featuring Green Lantern.
Batman: Arkham City and Green Lantern: The Animated Series both had a presence at the San Diego Comic-Con, along with the new ThunderCats series which premieres on Cartoon Network this Friday. Pictures from all three panels and/or signings are included here.

The ThunderCats are finally coming back to TV, and Lion-o, Cheetara and Snarf will all be on hand to answer fan questions and preview the new series at San Diego Comic-Con 2011!
Okay, we cave. They're fictional characters, but at least the Con will have plenty of cosplayers filling in for the absent characters. Details and footage of the new series have been somewhat scarce, but the panel, taking place Friday, July 22nd at 3:30pm in Room 6A should have plenty to show us.
Not to mention, with producers Michael Jelenic, and Ethan Spaulding, art director Dan Norton, voice cast members Emmanuelle Chriqui (Cheetara) and original Lion-o, Larry Kenney (Claudus). confirmed to appear, we're bound to stand up and cheer, and you knew this was coming, "Thunder...Thunder...Thundercats!!!"
More updates will arrive, so keep it here for all the latest heroic ThunderCats news from Comic-Con 2011!

If past years are any indication, Comic-Con will begin releasing its official 2011 panel schedule later today (Wednesday) with the schedule for Preview Night, Wednesday, July 20. If that happens then we can expect them to follow suit for the rest of the days, so that Thursday will see the release of the Thursday of Con schedule, etc., through Sunday.
Once the official schedules are posted these “TV and Movie Panels and Screenings Updates” will be scaled back to just the date, time, title, and location, since the rest of the information and So Much More (including comics panels, autograph signings, etc.) will be available on the Comic-Con schedule link we’ll provide. Consider this, then, the last of the extremely long posts, and hopefully we’ll be getting that official schedule soon.
Hmm, here’s an interesting matchup: Glee will be in Hall H on Sunday at 10:00; Supernatural will be...

We've been your go-to source for coverage of the upcoming "ThunderCats" animated series ever since it was first announced, and now it looks like we're in the home stretch. The wait will finally be over Friday, July 29, when "ThunderCats" premieres on Cartoon Network.
The network announced the official premiere date for the series today, and revealed that the show will kick off with an hour-long special at 8 Pm Eastern on July 29, then settle into a weekly schedule of half-hour episodes beginning August 5.
However, fans will be able to get an early look at the premiere during Comic-Con International in San Diego, where Warner Brothers Animation will screen the hour-long special during their panel on Friday, July 22.

The second update but absolutely not the last. We have yet to hear from the major networks, Syfy, TNT or USA about their panels. More to the point, we have yet to hear from Comic-Con, at least as to the official schedule.
As you may know, they resold the returned 4-day passes on Friday, and those sold out within a couple of hours. It likely only took that long because only a certain number of people could be purchasing at one time. Returned one day tickets will go on sale shortly; if you’re interested in attempting to be amongst the lucky few who will achieve tickets, you must be following Comic-Con on Twitter for the latest updates
Information added to this update includes Locke & Key, Dexter, Shameless, Homeland, Archer, Wilfred, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sons of Anarchy, Shark Night 3D, Haywire, The Raven, Immortals, Thanks to THR...

Woo Hoo! Comic-Con 2011 info is really starting to flow! In this era of recycled and rebooted material from our childhoods, some efforts have fallen flat and others have taken off. From the looks of this trailer fresh from WonderCon in San Francisco, it looks like the reboot of ThunderCats may reignite the series for a whole new generation of fans as well as bringing to life memories of the original.

There were lots of things see and learn over the weekend at WonderCon in San Francisco, including an advanced screening of the brand-new “ThunderCats” trailer.
No, we’re not talking about the “ThunderCats” cartoon from the '80s, or even the CGI movie that was reported a few years ago but has yet to spring to life. Instead, we’re talking about a new animated “ThunderCats” series that’s set to debut on Cartoon Network in July, with this trailer allowing fans to see a serious re-imagining of some truly iconic characters.
The trailer, which is a little over two minutes, was shown on Sunday at a panel dedicated to the new show. Members of the panel included art director Dan Norton, producers Ethan Spaulding and Michael Jelenic, as well as voice actor Larry Kenney. Kenney originally played Lion-o in the first animated series, but is back now to play King Claudus.

Warner Brothers Animation released a new trailer for the upcoming “ThunderCats” cartoon show. The cartoon reboot is set to air on Cartoon Network later this year. The panelists were attended by producers Michael Jelenic (“Batman: The Brave and the Bold”) and Ethan Spaulding (“Avatar: The Last Airbender,” “The Simpsons”), art director Dan Norton and voice actor Larry Kenney (“Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story,” “The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus”). Kenney provided the voice to Lion-o in the original series and he will be providing the voice to Lion-o’s father in the new series. Here are some highlights from the panel: Slides were shown of different characters from the vehicles and ThunderCats team. Twenty-six episodes were ordered and Kenny would like to see this show beat the original’s 135 episode run. Two new cast members were announced including Clancy Brown as Grune and Atkins Downes as Mumm-Ra.

Are you ready for a return to Third Earth?
The ThunderCats reboot stormed WonderCon today, with Larry Kenney (the voice of Claudus in the new series and Lion-o in the original) and producers Michael Jelenic and Ethan Spaulding and art director Dan Norton in tow. The quartet delighted fans of the original as they went over the creative vision of the new Cartoon Network series.
But words only tell so much; Warner Bros. Animation released the brand new trailer to the animated series. The new ThunderCats has a more contemporary art direction to it, but seems like it will pay homage to the original. One thing is for sure: this looks like it will have way more action and battle than the original, which played to a younger audience at the time.
After seeing this trailer, we’re psyched for the new series. Will Friedle will voice Lion-o this time around,...

While it's not the live-action movie we've all been clamouring for, this WonderCon reveal of the new Thundercats animated series is still capable of eliciting a feline thrill. Thundercats! Hooooooo! The anime-flavoured collaboration between Warners and Japan's Studio 4C has changed the game somewhat by having Lion-o and co. head into their own planet's interior, rather than to another planet: this time they're going off-map but not off-world. The clip gives us glimpses of all the 'cats, plus dastardly Mumm-Ra, and the Thundertank, which looks more or less like it always did. Redesigns for Wilykit and Wilykat though, who now have tails. And we can apparently expect quite a different Snarf: the WonderCon panel (producers Michael Jelenic and Ethan Spaulding; art director Dan Norton; voice of old-version Lion-o and new-version Claudius Larry Kenney) likened him to Chewbacca, at least in terms of voice. But you'll still be able to pick...
