In 2002 he was nominated for the Perrier award at the Edinburgh fringe festival for his solo show "Things I like, I lick".
In 2006 he was the inaugural winner of the if.comeddie award that replaced the Perrier award at the Edinburgh fringe festival. He won the award for his critically lauded solo show "The Naked Racist".
