While Project Runway must be a super fun show to work on, it’s not all fun and games apparently. Supermodel and super judge Heidi Klum doesn’t seem to be too happy in this picture with fellow Runway judge Zac Posen. The two of them made a quick visit to the doctor just to take extra precaution because not one, but both of them stepped on a rusty nail. Question: both of them? What were you guys doing walking around barefoot on set? I mean we all know that Heidi’s a little dark. Given her Halloween costumes every year and affinity for spiders as evidenced on America’s Got Talent, we know that Klum is into some weird stuff. But don’t walk around where there are Rusty nails! Anyway, we hear that the two are perfectly fine and no need to worry. Klum took to Instagram to post the pic and the…...

It's that time again for the annual Music Box Massacre that takes place at the famous Music Box Theater in Chicago, Illinois. The Music Box Massacre was created by Chicago horror icon Rusty Nails back in 2005. It has continued to grow every year. It's highly recommended that you get your tickets now. They are 28 dollars if you buy them a head of time. You can purchase tickets either through Brown Paper Tickets or at various locations throughout the Chicago land area. They are Laurie's Planet of Sound (4639 N. Lincoln Ave.), After...

On a chilly Fall day in Chicago, over a thousand horror enthusiasts made their annual trek to the Music Box Theatre for 24-hours of blood-soaked entertainment on the big screen October 25-26. For the fourth year in a row, the Music Box is playing host to the "Massacre" - a lineup of new and classic films with special guests, memorabilia vendors, charity auctions, and a general celebration of the genre we hold so dear. I've attended all but the first event, staged by Chicago's Movieside Film Festival and curated by my good friend Rusty Nails. Movieside itself is an interesting beast that has grown from a handful of small events held at unconventional venues such as the legendary Fireside Bowl, to massive screenings at golden-era movie palaces like the Music Box, Congress, and Portage Theatres. The 'Massacre itself has spawned spin-offs as well, with a winter installment last February co-sponsored...

Okay Chicagoans you decide- Is it a confession to say I’ve never seen Faster Pussycat Kill Kill? Event organizer Rusty Nails thought so. He’s probably right but Hey I’ve just been waiting for the right opportunity. To clarify I’m not a big Russ Meyer fan (or of tittie flicks in general) but there is a point where I can ignore the cheesecake content of his stuff enough to appreciate the all out twonk factor. The trailer for Faster Pussycat alone had me rolling around in my office lazyboy. Whether he knew it at the time, and it’s hard to believe he didn’t- remember this is the guy who went on to work with Roger Ebert on Beyond The Valley of The Dolls- the element of self parody is really what makes his better movies work. In that regard I think the guy was a genius.

Chi-towners I have no idea how this slipped thru the radar. But needless to say if you live in Chicago then you should know that freaking Clive Barker and Lucky McKee are in town this Saturday night (as in This Saturday Oct 25!) as part of the Music Box Massacre. This is the fourth installment of the mass (as I like to call it) and has become a Halloween tradition for many. In addition to the screenings of May and Midnight Meat Train (which of course are followed by Q and A with the aforementioned VIPs) there’s a dynamite lineup of other screenings, dealer tables, a charity auction by event organizer Rusty Nails and also an appearance/Q &A by Joseph Zito in conjunction with a screening of Friday the 13th The Final Chapter. The whole thing is Mc’d by Aaron “Dr. AC” Christensen author of Horror 101:...

Fox Home Entertainment has finally released the art and specs for Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead, their direct to DVD sequel to the better-than-it-shoulda-been Joy Ride, which comes home on October 7th.
The disc will come complete with the following goodies:
Joy Ride 2: The Making of Dead Ahead “Blood & Gus: The Make-up of Horror” Storyboard-to-scene comparissions The sequel finds four kids in a car on their way to Vegas. After their car breaks down, they find an isolated, seemingly abandoned home with a cherry muscle car parked in the garage, just begging to be driven. Drive they do, unaware that they’ve just taken he property of Rusty Nails (no longer the voice of Ted Levine, which is a disappointment), who sets out to taunt and eventually kill ‘em all.
