Five animations will receive funding from the Irish Film Board in the latest Frameworks scheme. Cartoon Saloon, Giant Creative, Igloo Productions, Jad Agencies and Studio Okinami are the production companies behind the projects. 'Ledge End of Phil' will be written and directed by Paul Morris and produced by Paul Young. 'Geist' will be written and directed by Alex Sherwood and Sean Mullen, and produced by Daniel Spencer, all for Giant Creative. 'No Postage Required' will be written by William Collins and directed by former Frameworks participant Kealan O'Rourke. 'The Missing Scarf' will be written and directed by Eoin Duffy and produced by Jamie Hogan for Jad Agencies.

Why Watch? This delightful animated short from director Sean Mullen reminds me so much of the beloved Pixar short One Man Band, mostly because of its persistent positive energy. It also follows a similar narrative line. Two artists come together in the same place, only to find art being thrown out the window and absurd competitive feats in its place. It’s a lovely, upbeat short that combines smooth animation with bright colors and a massive canvas of charisma. Just the sort of thing to pick you up in the middle of your Thursday workday.
