Short, pudgy Russian-born independent producer, composer and musical director, in the U.S. from 1922. He worked for a number of years in Hollywood for Paramount. Morros was revealed as a Soviet spy (recruited in 1934 and code-named "Frost") and FBI double agent (from 1947), courtesy of his 1957 published memoirs, entitled "Ten Years a Counterspy". This was filmed in 1960 as "Man on a String" with Ernest Borgnine in the role of Morros.
