A Canadian transplant living and working in Los Angeles, Melody Mooney
began her directing career at the ripe old age of 10 with her ambitious
launch of an all children's home rendition of the second Star Wars
movie "The Empire Strikes Back."
Her interest in children's theater didn't wane with age, and Melody
volunteers her time to act and assist with short plays for
underprivileged grammar school children.
Melody is a fan at heart, and has participated in a few fan films and
related efforts including a "fan question" on the Star Wars Trivial
Pursuit DVD game; the short fan films "Death of Batman" and "Deadworld"
(the later of which is her own self-funded and filmed horror comedy
spoof of vampires and MTV's The Real World); her own video blogs
featuring the "Galactica Viper Pilot" paying homage to the re-imagined
Battlestar Galactica TV show; and as a contestant on Who Wants to be a
Superhero? Season 2.
Melody is married with two cats. She loves Star Wars, and her favorite
film is "The Empire Strikes Back". Her creative endeavors include:
theater, film, television and anything fun that requires a
costume!
