Would you rather see Ashley Parker Angel wear it all ... or nothing at all?The former O-Town singer has been sharing a ton of half-naked photos on his Twitter page recently, including the just-uploaded Calvin Klein shot above. "Happy Hump Day," he captioned the pic, along with the hashtags "#fitnessaddict #fitspo #determination #gym."The 32-year-old has been on a health kick this year, saying he's "committed to getting in the best shape of my life in 2014" on his Instagram page. "Though I'm not exactly where I want to be yet - I'm as committed as ever to getting there." Parker's old boy band recently reunited without him and even released some brand new music. Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood, Erik Michael Estrada and Dan Miller recently reunited without Angel and released their first new song in over a decade, "Skydive," back in May. "We had discussed a summer tour to perform...

It's going to be tough to top "Liquid Dreams," but the O-Town guys—minus Ashley Parker Angel—are giving it their all! The reformed boy band just debuted the music video for "Skydive," and while there are no gelatinous female dancers or oh-so-2000 graphics for your visual enjoyment, it does show that Erik-Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick and Dan Miller have matured musically. Unlike when they first came onto the scene, the guys' comeback clip doesn't feature any dancing. Each member does, however, sing to the same attractive blond woman in a desert-like setting. And even though Ashley isn't taking part in O-Town's resurrection, he's got...

Directed by Frank Darabont
Written by Frank Darabont, from the novel by Stephen King
Us, 2007
The professional relationship between filmmaker Frank Darabont and author Stephen King is perhaps one of the most notable collaborations in modern cinema, a tale of hero worship turned ostensible business partnership. So many ships it’s a wonder none of the films produced as a result were ever set at sea. A young aspiring filmmaker with untold cinematic vision and a fondness for Maine’s most famed son, Darabont earned his ticket to the big time through the sheer verve and passion of his pitch to King regarding his short story Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption. Parallel to this, King’s sentimentality for such ambitious upstarts meant that the resulting sleeper hit resulted in two of his books becoming legendary motion pictures. Over the course of three such enterprises, Darabont managed to...

We at HeyUGuys first saw Jeanie Finlay’s The Great Hip Hop Hoax back in June when it played at the 67th Edinburgh International Film Festival.
The documentary reunited Billy Boyd and Gavin Bain, two Scottish rappers who fooled the music industry (and everyone else they met) into thinking they were Silibil ‘n’ Brains — hip-hoppers from California.
It is now due to be released theatrically on September 6th, ahead of its DVD release later in the month, while Finlay, Boyd and Bain will be attending a screening of the film at Dundee Contemporary Arts, which they will follow with a Q&A.
In the meantime, the film’s stars agreed to answer a few questions of our own…
Whose idea was it to finally bring your story to the big screen?
Gavin: My idea. This is exactly how it happened: when Bill split I stayed in character until 2007 when I finally came clean on stage.

Title: Evocateur: The Morton Downey, Jr. Movie Directors: Seth Kramer, Daniel A. Miller and Jeremy Newberger Before reality television became a genre unto itself, before dubiously achieved demi-celebrity became an actual career goal for many, and before blowhard media personalities took as their pet lemmings a significant portion of the American electorate, there was Morton Downey, Jr., a foul-mouthed talk show host who, as the anti-Phil Donahue, blew cigarette smoke in guests’ faces and generally ranted and raved in a manner that now seems both like some overblown caricature of populist agitation and the cornerstone for a cable news empire of ever more emphatically delivered deceitful scare-mongering. A charlatan, a ringmaster, and, at his most charitable, an irresponsible pig. This was Morton Downey Jr., and “Evocateur: The Morton Downey Jr. Movie” is probably the film he deserves. Destined to provoke knowing nods from his fanbase, and predictable tsk-tsks from his detractors, 'Evocateur' examines the seeds that were planted in the late eighties when “The Morton Downey Jr. Show” hit the airwaves to a cacophony of pop culture noise. From the directing team of Seth Kramer, Daniel A. Miller and Jeremy Newberger, 'Evocateur' highlights Downey’s immodest beginnings, as the liberal son to a crooning father and a mistreated starlet wife. Downey tried music, and even dabbled in poetry before finding his calling, as a hard-right entertainer taking on the guise of a “voice of the people.” 'Evocateur' takes great pains to illustrate that Downey wasn’t the first to welcome on-air confrontation with obnoxious braggadocio, nor is he the last,...

TromaDance returns to terrorize Asbury Park, NJ for their 14th annual edition, which will be held — for free! — at Asbury Lanes on April 12-13. It’s two days and nights of gonzo short films from all over the world, plus a few low-budget feature-length genre excursions and one documentary.
But, the big highlight of the fest will be a special workprint preview screening of Troma daddy Lloyd Kaufman’s latest epic of grotesqueness and debauchery: Return to Nuke ‘Em High Vol. 1, the fourth trilogy-busting entry in the classic Nuke ‘Em High series. This will screen on the 13th at 8:00 p.m. and will be preceded by a Q&A with the always entertaining Kaufman himself.
Other features include Quentin Dupiex’s 2nd flick, the missing dog comedy Wrong; angry birds of prey return to terrorize L.A. in James Nguyen’s Birdemic 2; werewolf soldiers invade NYC in Battledogs; a...

Sneak Peek a trailer from the new Magnolia Pictures documentary "Evocateur: The Morton Downey Jr. Movie", focusing on the career of the controversial 1980’s talk show host Morton Downey Jr., directed by Seth Kramer, Daniel A. Miller, and Jeremy Newburger :
"...before entire networks were built on populist personalities and before reality morphed into a TV genre, the masses fixated on a single, sociopathic star: controversial talk-show host Morton Downey, Jr. In the late ‘80s, Downey tore apart the traditional talk format by turning debate of current issues into a gladiator pit. His blow-smoke-in-your-face style drew a rabid cult following..."

After last week's almost existential angst in Opposition, the subdued Malcolm Tucker can at least console himself it's not all fun and backslaps in the Coalition Government, but it's definitely jollier for us watching.
Peter Mannion (Roger Allam)'s tenuous grip on power continued as he found himself in the horrors of Boot Camp, an out-of-office idyll based on Stewart's guru thinking that "isolation is the mother of renewal".
Peter Mannion found himself enduring the horrors of Boot Camp
"This is policy jamming," explained Stewart (Vincent Franklin) as the ideas-ball went around the room. "I feel like I've joined the Scientologists," grumbled Peter, although it did give him a great opportunity for a rejoinder... "When's a party not a party?" asked Stewart. "When it's at your house," said Peter. An instant classic.
Meanwhile back at HQ, all was the usual unseemly tussle for alpha-male status and female attention between those great kings of the walk,...

It was like welcoming back an old friend- ‘the opposition’, as they are now known, returned to our screens in typically sterling form. And whilst it wasn’t quite as funny as last week’s opener, perhaps because we weren’t as accustomed to the new coalition, it was still a solid piece of comedy and still funnier than most comedies currently on TV (Quite what Danny Cohen is thinking with his friday-night triple bill of In With The Flynns, Mrs. Brown’s Boys and Miranda is beyond me).
For me, the star of this week’s episode wasn’t Malcolm Tucker- though he was played in an interesting new way where the glimpses of him having something resembling a human heart came to the fore to an extent- but actually Chris Addison’s Olly, who hogged the best lines and dominated the back-and-forth. This was a four-hander between Capaldi,...

Magnolia Pictures has acquired U.S. rights to Evocateur: The Morton Downey Jr. Movie, a documentary about the controversial talk show host, who’s been dubbed the “father of trash television.” The film, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, is directed by Ironbound Films’ Seth Kramer, Daniel A. The distributor is planning a theatrical release in the first quarter of 2013. “Evocateur is an incredibly entertaining documentary,” Magnolia president Eamonn Bowles said. “While we tend to think that everything has gotten so extreme in this age of reality television, it’s shocking to see how The

The Ufc's Ultimate Fighter (Tuf) reality TV series returned to our screens last Friday night, but arrived with a twist -- as well as the fastest knockout in its history, at just eight seconds. While the show carried the same format and dangled the same prize at the end of it all, the action was, for the first time, live and pretty much uninterrupted and the season will, in time, be far more interactive than ever before, offering fight fans the opportunity to participate and dictate the fates of those inside the house.
A runaway success since its inception in 2005, this latest tweaking should ensure it remains as such, following the odd hit-and-miss season of late. With change comes a period for reflection, however, and now seems as good a time as any to remember and highlight some of the show's very best success stories, if only to provide inspiration...
