Lauren Sánchez has garnered a lot of nasty social media commentary for her attire, especially for a revealing dress worn to a recent White House state dinner. Just last night, her signature style was on display at a night-before Met Gala party, in honor of Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, where Sánchez donned a strapless see-through black lace Monse mega mini — not a usual look for the designers who are also behind the Oscar de la Renta label. Needless to say, the lingerie-like look got more of the same response.
For the actual Met Ball red carpet — a first Met stairs walk for Sánchez — she was accompanied by her future husband, Jeff Bezos (that is, one of the richest men in the world).
And, stop the presses, Sánchez’s look was not the most naked, over the top, or eye-popping dress on at the Met Museum — because at this year’s Met Ball,...

James Corden announced he'd be leaving "The Late Late Show" back in April 2022, telling Deadline at the time that he was "so immensely proud of the show," before revealing he'd been "really been thinking about it for a long time, thinking whether there might be one more adventure."
Alas, the adventure has mercifully come to a close after eight years of Corden gracing our screens. The "Cats" star took over from previous "Late Late Show" host Craig Ferguson in March 2015, and has been providing us with his unctuous brand of late night shenanigans ever since — penetrating the culture with memorable segments such as Carpool Karaoke and ... y'know, probably some others.
For his send-off, Corden managed to bring together all the late night talk show hosts for a sketch in which they, too, struggle to recall any "Late Late Show" bits that aren't Carpool Karaoke. Of course, they do a lot more than that.

British director Craig Duncan, who worked with James Corden 10 years ago, said in a YouTube video earlier this week that the soon-to-exit host of CBS’ “The Late Late Show” is “the most difficult and obnoxious presenter I’ve ever worked with.”
He recalled that before he took the 2013 gig on Corden’s sports comedy show “A League of Their Own,” producers asked him, “How are you working with difficult presenters?”
On the day of shooting, Duncan said that Corden grew impatient and shouted at him, “It’s obvious what you do. You put a camera there, you put a camera there. It’s so obvious how you shoot it. You’re stupid.”

Beyoncé is facing criticism after performing a private concert in Dubai for a crowd of A-list attendees. The star reportedly made 24 million for the show which marked the opening of the luxury hotel Atlantis The Royal.
In Memoriam 2022: 100 Great Celebrities Who Died In 2022
Some fans are conflicted about the performance because of the country’s strict laws against same-sex relationships. Homosexuality is punishable by the death penalty in the United Arab Emirates.
Despite the singer’s latest album, Renaissance, being a tribute to “black queer culture,” she accepted the large sum to perform in the Emirate’s capital.
No beef but I’m struggling to understand why Beyoncé, who has half a billion dollars, would accept 20 million dollars to make her debut performance of the Renaissance album, a record which lifts heavily from queer culture, in Dubai, a country where LGBT rights aren’t recognised.

Chelsea Handler hosted the Critics Choice Awards, and used the opportunity to mock James Corden and Ellen DeGeneres.
The comedian did not hold back in her opening monologue, during which she also took aim at Prince Harry.
Beginning the show, Handler joked that the cast of nominated food drama The Bear “showed us how gruelling and how absolutely miserable working in the restaurant industry can be, and they didn’t even have to wait on James Corden”.
Earlier this year, restaurant owner Keith McNally described Corden as “a tiny cretin of a man” for allegedly making nasty comments and demands of his workers at Balthazar on two occasions.
In an Instagram post, McNally declared he had “86’d” the comedian from his restaurant and Corden was no longer welcome there. Corden, who initially said that he’d done “nothing wrong”, later admitted that he had made “a rude, rude comment”, adding...

Mel B is naming names. The 47-year-old Spice Girls star is a guest on Friday’s episode of the U.K. chat show, “The Big Narstie Show” on Channel 4, and she answers candidly when asked about the “biggest d***heads” she’s met in show business.
“So, there’s a few. James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me,” she replies.
Mel B explains naming Halliwell, a.k.a. Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls, saying, “I love her to bits, but she’s really f**king annoying.”
As for “The Late Late Show” host, who was also recently called out by Balthazaar restauranteur Keith McNally, Mel B offers more insight into why she named him.
“I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting,” she says. “We all work for the same thing, so you should always be nice,...

On the latest episode of the British entertainment interview show “The Big Narstie Show,” singer and TV personality Mel B opened up about her apparent disdain for “The Late Late Show with James Corden” host James Corden, saying he’s not “very nice.”
During her appearance on the show, Mo Gilligan asked Mel B who she felt was the “biggest d—head she’d ever met.” She responded saying: “So, there’s a few. James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me.”
Throwing people off guard with the naming of her Spice Girls bandmate, Halliwell, Mel B mentioned that while she cares deeply about Halliwell, she finds her to be “really f—ing annoying.”

I had just arrived at a small dinner party several years ago when a surprise guest, Johnny Carson, seated himself across from me and promptly invoked the dreaded “L” word. “We haven’t met before, so I should explain that I’m not a very ‘likable’ dinner companion,” he advised. “I’m paid to be entertaining on TV, but dinner is a ‘no laugh’ zone.”
I appreciated his warning: A new survey of “likability” ratings was stirring controversy at that moment and, despite an erratic personal life, Carson was still a revered TV presence.
The comedian would be amused to learn that it’s all being re-enacted today, again triggered by the behavior of late-night hosts (I’ll review Carson’s own dinner performance below).

James Corden has responded after Ricky Gervais called him out on Twitter for stealing one of his jokes about guitar lessons and town squares from his stand-up shows.
After noticing social media users sharing the clip, Gervais posted it and jokingly captioned it: “The bit about the town square advert for guitar lessons is brilliant,” Yahoo! reported.
He’s since deleted the comment, admitting he “started to feel sorry for him” after a fan noticed the original tweet was gone.

It seemed like the feud between Balthazar restaurateur Keith McNally and James Corden had cooled, but McNally reignited controversy with an Oct. 31 Instagram post that doubled down on his claim that Corden had displayed "abusive" behavior at the restaurant. This time, his post addressed an Oct. 29 article published in the London Times in which Corden denied behaving inappropriately. "I never screamed at anyone, I didn't shout, didn't call anyone a name or swear or use derogatory language," Corden told the outlet.
In response, McNally accused the star of telling a "massive lie" on his Instagram. "How is it remotely a thing? When that person who posted the story wasn't even there," McNally wrote, adding that he'd been unimpressed with Corden's apology the second time around. "On second viewing, I found his TV 'confessional' contrived and phony. The actor will say anything to save his bacon,...

James Corden has opened up about the moment he decided to quit as the host of popular US talk show The Late Late Show.
The former Gavin & Stacey star announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down from the role in 2023.
In a new interview with The Times, Corden addressed the decision, which he said was made in order to spend more time with his wife, Julia, and his three children.
“I have so many really beautiful memories of my childhood,” he said.

In order to understand why Jay Leno has said anything at all about how “wonderful” a man James Corden may be, we’ll need to rewind the clock.
Earlier this month, Keith McNally – owner of the New York City brasserie Balthazar – publicly banned Corden from his restaurants over his treatment of the Balthazar staff.
A day after imposing the ban, McNally rescinced his decision after Corden called him to “apologise profusely” for the misunderstanding. We all believed that the drama had come to an end.
It did not.
Shortly afterwards, Corden told a New York Times reporter who was worried that the late-night host might cancel their interview over the kerfuffle: “I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this?” He also called the debate over whether or not he had in fact verbally abused the restuarant’s waitstaff “silly”.

James Corden started Monday’s episode of The Late Late Show by addressing allegations of abusive behavior made by noted restauranteur Keith McNally earlier this month.
“Look when you make a mistake you’ve gotta take responsibility,” Corden said. “I made a rude comment and it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server.”
Corden explained that a few weeks ago while in New York, he, his wife, and friends went for breakfast at Balthazar.
Corden said his wife explained her severe allergy to the restaurant staff but was later served the wrong meal with food she was allergic to.

In a monologue on Monday night’s episode of “The Late Late Show,” host James Corden addressed his public ban from a New York City restaurant and apologized for his rude treatment of the venue’s waitstaff.
After joking that he cut himself off from the internet and electronics over the past week and asking if he “missed any news,” Corden explained to his audience that he was banned and unbanned in record time from the New York restaurant Balthazar for comments he made to the staff. James Corden made his return to “The Late Late Show” on Monday night and apologized for making what he deemed a “rude comment” to a staffer at the famed New York restaurant Balthazar.
“I didn’t shout or scream, like I didn’t get up out of my seat. I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language. I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right? But the truth is like I have — I made a rude comment and it was wrong, and it was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server,” Corden said from his desk of the CBS late-night show.
Last week, restauranteur and Balthazar owner Keith McNally blasted Corden on Instagram, calling the comedian and Tony Award-winner a “tiny cretin of a man” as well as “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.

James Corden Addresses Balthazar Restaurant Drama: ‘I Made a Rude Comment, And It Was Wrong’ (Video)
As promised, James Corden addressed the recent drama surrounding his alleged behavior at the New York City restaurant Balthazar on Monday’s (October 24) edition of The Late Late Show. The late-night host, who was accused of being rude to staff at the French eatery, spoke about the situation at the top of the show. He said it was “never my intention” to upset anyone at Balthazar and that he would “absolutely” apologize in person if allowed back. Last week, restaurateur Keith McNally said that Corden was “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago” and, as a result, banned him from the establishment. However, he later reversed the decision, revealing that Corden had apologized and all was “forgiven.” That changed again, though, after Corden did an interview with the New York Times, where he said, “I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level.

James Corden Addresses Restaurant Drama In ‘Late Late Show’ Monologue, Apologizes For ‘Rude Comment’
Using his platform to apologize. James Corden addressed the elephant in the room on Monday’s “The Late Late Show”, when he addressed being banned from a New York City hotspot and had a public blowout with the owner of social media.

However, Corden explained that he spoke to his father about the situation, and said, “As my dad pointed out to me on Saturday, he said, ‘Son, well, you did complain. So you might need to explain.'”

Corden explained what happened from his point of view, called what he did “a mistake,” and essentially apologized to the restaurant’s staff and said he hopes he’ll be “allowed in one day, so … I can go there and apologize in person.”
In case you need a catch-up, Corden was banned for life from the restaurant by restauranteur Keith McNally, who called him a “tiny cretin of a man” and “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.” McNally said Corden was also banned from the other restaurants he owns. McNally rescinded the ban after Corden apologized, but after Corden downplayed the whole thing in a New York Times interview,...

James Corden addressed the seemingly ongoing drama surrounding his recent temporary ban from a New York restaurant for alleged “abusive” behavior on Monday’s episode of The Late Late Show.
Following a week of intense scrutiny, speculation and a fair deal of social media backlash, a chastened and sheepish Corden took the time to explain what had happened and why he had said so little about his very public dust-up with the owner of the famed New York eatery Balthazar.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Corden had commented on the drama that initially stemmed from an Instagram post from restaurateur Keith McNally, who revealed that he had the Brit comedian banned from Balthazar for being an “abusive customer” towards the restaurant’s servers. Despite McNally later revealing in another post that Corden had apologized to him, and he was no longer banned,...

James Corden took some time at the start of Monday’s episode of “The Late Late Show” to acknowledge a recent controversy involving his now-reversed ban from New York restaurant Balthazar, offering an apology for “the rude comment” he directed toward to the business’s waitstaff. Corden said he made the comment “in the heat of the moment” after his table was accidentally served a dish his wife would’ve had an allergic reaction to.
“I didn’t shout or scream. I didn’t get up out of my seat. I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language. I have been walking around thinking that I hadn’t done anything wrong, right? But the truth is I have. I made a rude comment and it was wrong,” Corden stated. “It was an unnecessary comment. It was ungracious to the server.”

The ongoing saga of James Corden and the restaurant staff he was reportedly rude to continued Friday with the owner of the New York City restaurant Balthazar could eat free there for life if he apologizes to two servers.
To recap: Corden was banned from the location after owner Keith McNally called him a “tiny cretin of a man” who was also “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.” McNally said that the comedian and host was banned for life from any of his restaurants.
While Corden didn’t publicly respond, the internet was abuzz with similarly rude stories about the “Late Late Show” host and “Cats” costar, including one involving his wife, his baby and an airplane.
But it seemed as though the brouhaha had cooled down. Earlier this week McNally, again on Instagram, claimed that Corden apologized and the ban had been lifted.

Update, with McNally response: The Late Late Show host James Corden says he will “probably” talk about his recent restaurant brouhaha on Monday’s show, though he finds the topic “such a silly thing” to discuss.
Calling the controversy “insane” in a New York Times interview, Corden spoke for the first time about being banned – and unbanned – from a ritzy New York eatery after famous restaurateur Keith McNally called out the comic on Instagram for rudely and repeatedly berating waitstaff.
Corden had agreed to the interview with the Times‘ Dave Itzkoff earlier this month to discuss his new Amazon Prime Video miniseries Mammals and his planned departure next year from late night TV. When the subject of this week’s social media frenzy over his allegedly bad restaurant behavior inevitably came up, Corden seemed alternately perturbed and amenable to addressing.
“I feel so Zen about the whole thing,” Corden said.
