German leading man of the 1930's and early 40's, trained for acting by Leontine Sagan in Berlin. His career declined after the war and he was found dead in a hotel in Hamburg from a morphine overdose.
He wasn't able to go on from his earlier successes after the war.
The actor Albert Matterstock belonged to the successful young actors from the middle of the 30's who conquered the heart of the audience with entertainment movies.
Albert Matterstock died in 1960 at the age of 49 as a result of his addiction to morphine.
