Every so often a character comes onto our screen who is so innocent, good, and pure that they might as well be asking to get killed.
Here, we remember some of the characters who came onto our favorite TV shows spreading light, hope, and love, but who ultimately had to bow out.

Hail Satan. The Dark Lord reigns as Netflix conjures a release date for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3.
It’s not a tornado that’s coming. It’s something much, much worse. The witches are coming. Despite what the false god and its propaganda machine would have you believe, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 3 and Season 4 will be delivered by Netflix.
“Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television, and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch," creator and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who is chief creative officer of Archie Comics, said in a statement via Variety. "And I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”

Netflix has ordered 16 more episodes of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which will air in two parts (parts 3 & 4). That constitutes a third season for Sabrina, which had an initial order for two 10-episode seasons, with a holiday special, A Midwinter’s Tale, later tacked on. You can watch the renewal announcement below.
Season 2 is set to premiere April 5, 2019. Parts 3 and 4 are slated to go into production in 2019.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, from Warner Bros. Television and studio-based Berlanti Productions, imagines the origin and adventures of the popular Archie comics character Sabrina the Teenage Witch (Kiernan Shipka) as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

Just when you thought you’d be in serious Wicca withdrawal all winter long, Netflix has some “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” news that is sure to brighten your Winter Solstice: a two-season renewal.
Less than a week after dropping that surprise holiday special, the streamer has ordered 16 additional episodes of its Kiernan Shipka-led dark take on the Archie Comics teen witch, which will begin production in 2019 and launch in two batches, Parts 3 and 4. No word yet on when the new installments will drop or how the sixteen episodes will be divided among the two parts.
And yes, TheWrap has confirmed Netflix is going with “parts” instead of “seasons” when it comes to “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” As all you witches know, Part 1 debuted back in October and Part 2 received an April 5, 2019 launch date last month.

(Warning: This post contains spoilers through the Season 1 finale of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”)
“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” will serve fans a blast from the past on the Netflix series’ upcoming holiday episode, which will feature a flashback to Sabrina Spellman’s childhood. And “Haunting of Hill House” star Mckenna Grace — the actress cast as the younger version of the teen half witch, half mortal — was selected by Kiernan Shipka, the titular character, herself.
“When Kiernan heard we were doing Li’l Sabrina, she texted me a picture of her with McKenna and said, ‘You have to get Mckenna. She’s like me as a little girl and we’re dead ringers,'” series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told TheWrap in an interview Wednesday, after the casting news broke. “And then we reached out [to Mckenna] and said, ‘Do you want to be Li’l Sabrina for the Christmas special?’ And she said yeah.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is adding some new blood!
Netflix has confirmed a trio of new additions for the supernatural drama which is already well into production on its second season.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel star Alexis Denisof will take on the role of Adam Masters, a "handsome and charming" man who makes his way back to Greendale after some time away.
Once home, he continues his romance with fiancée Mary Wardwell. However, the poor man has no idea that his love interest is possessed by none other than Madam Satan.
Yes, there are going to be some awkward moments for sure. On Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 1, Mary's persona completely changed thanks to her body being taken over, so we think it's fair to say Adam is going to be confused.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 2 has a new trailer and a release date that's sooner than you'd think!
The first season of Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina (you can read our spoiler free review here) hit Netflix in October 2018, and usually we would have to wait to hear from the streaming service about any plans for a renewal for the series, but we guess it must have a lot of confidence in its new Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa-created show, because that Sabrina lead Kiernan Shipka told Bloody Disgusting that she was already in the midst of filming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 2 before the first season even launched.
“We’re filming [season 2] right now,” Shipka confirmed. “We went straight into the second season from the first and it’s been really so exceptionally fun to film, especially given the fact that I feel like we’re already in such...
