- Rob Loos is President of zing productions inc., a Hollywood-based, television and film production company that believes the only projects worth doing are those that "have a little zing." Loos earned his stripes as a partner at TLC Entertainment an independent production and distribution company based at CBS Studio Center. Loos and business partner, George Taweel, won 113 awards for creative excellence, notched over 70 Gold and Platinum selling DVDs/videos, and produced over 200 hours worth of programs. Loos started his career as Development Exec where he helped package, sell, and oversee 15 specials, 6 series, 3 pilots, and 2 movies.
Loos was named as a Screenwriter in Residence at the New Harmony Project (2008), he was selected for The Writers' Gathering: Jerusalem (2007), and was named a Knight Fellow (2001) by Western Reserve Academy (his high school alma mater).

Rob's career started a teenager, when he directed man-on-the-street interviews for the I LOVE AKRON campaign for McDaniel, Fisher & Spellman Advertising in Akron, Ohio. At Northwestern University (NU), Loos wrote and directed films, television shows, a weekly Chicago Area radio comedy (THE V SHOW), and served as head writer and lyricist on the student generated WAA-MU SHOW.
After college, Loos headed for Los Angeles, where he served as Director of Development for Bob Banner Associates, and Director of Creative Affairs for Republic Pictures, where he launched 15 specials, 6 series, 3 pilots, and 2 movies in six years, including the long-running series STAR SEARCH and MOUSERCISE. Loos earned his way into the Writer's Guild of America writing two television movies, sixty half-hour TV episodes, and three specials.
After Republic Loos joined with George Taweel as the co-founder of TLC Entertainment where they wrote four live action films (THE CATCH, DESTINY, JIMMY POWERS SAVES THE WORLD, TILLY), three animated direct-to-video movies (BUSTER & CHAUNCEY'S SILENT NIGHT, THE CHRISTMAS LAMB, THE LEGEND OF THE THREE TREES), twenty digital episodes (JOHN LITHGOW'S PALOOZAVILLE), and one hundred and five half-hour shows (MCGEE AND ME!, SECRET ADVENTURES, FANTASTIC FOUR, THE ALL NEW CAPTAIN KANGAROO, MISTER MOOSE'S FUNTIME, KIDS' TEN COMMANDMENTS, LITTLE PEOPLE, J-FILES, etc.). Loos co-wrote and directed TLC's large stage productions for Busch Gardens Tampa, FL and Williamsburg, VA, which ran over 3500 performances.
Loos left TLC in 2011 to focus on zing productions inc., a Hollywood-based motion picture and television group. zing signed a co-production deal with CBS/Cookie Jar that resulted in two TV pilot scripts (SHARK KEY, COCONUT ISLAND), then signed a first look deal with Porchlight Entertainment, followed by a four-year deal with Rollman Entertainment Inc. where Loos wrote and produced NickToons/NFL Network's NFL RUSH ZONE, the streaming series IESODO, and the animated pilot for TEAM XYZ.
zing has also given Loos the freedom to follow his wide range of interests, including writing The GTC New Play award winning CHRISTMAS IN AKRON: THE MUSICAL (2017), co-authoring a book (with 60 other writers) WITHOUT RESERVE, writing a graphic novel (SHARK KEY), a young adult novel (Fall 2018), and a monthly column for the Ledger newspapers in Los Angeles.
Loos was awarded the Soaring Eagle Servant's Heart Award from Inter-Mission/Actors' Co-op in 1997, the Knight Fellowship from Western Reserve Academy in 2001, the inaugural Writers' Gathering in Israel Fellowship in 2007, and was selected as a screenwriter in Residence at The New Harmony Project.
Loos is married to his high school classmate and love of his life, and he has two children.
