The Trolls are back! Long-lost siblings reunite and troll magic faces a new obstacle in “Trolls Band Together.” Dynamic duo Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Justin Timberlake) embark on a new adventure to get Branch’s brothers’ boy band — Brozone — back together to save Floyd (Troye Sivan) from two wannabe superstar singers who secretly leech off of Floyd’s talent.
John Dory (Eric André) catalyzes the reunion of Brozone, who broke up over creative differences when Branch was a baby. The other two brothers — Clay and Spruce — must be tracked down to save Floyd from losing all of his talent to Velvet (Amy Schumer) and Veneer (Andrew Rannells).
An epic soundtrack, complete with a new *Nsync song as well as renditions of old classics and the addition of Camilla Cabello’s voice awaits adventurers ready for “Trolls 3.”

Kevin McCarthy’s as-yet fruitless bid to become the GOP Speaker of the House is a once-in-a-century shitshow. The last time the House failed to select a Speaker on a single ballot was back in 1923.
McCarthy’s humiliation is historic, but it’s not out of keeping with a Republican party whose turbulent rule over the House of Representatives has been marred by crisis, coup attempts, and criminality since the 1990s.
The “Republican Revolution” of 1994 ended 40 years of Democratic dominance in the House. But it installed a party whose ideological...

The Broadway-bound revival of the musical 1776, which begins a pre-New York engagement at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Ma, next month, has announced a cast comprised fully of performers who identify as female, non-binary and trans.
The cast announced Friday was specifically for the A.R.T. production and might not necessarily carry over to the staging at Roundabout’s American Airlines Theatre on Broadway in September (or a U.S. tour set to launch in February 2023), but the news provides a clear indication of the production’s reimagined, groundbreaking approach.
First staged on Broadway in 1969, the musical about the signing of the Declaration of Independence — and the so-called Founding Fathers — features music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone, based on a concept by Edwards. A film version was released in 1972.

It’s a collection of 6 — count ’em Six — horror and sci-fi curiosities from the ’40s and ’50s, aimed straight at covetous fantasy film addicts. Wacky scripts, strange characterizations and poverty row production values are on view, but the fine transfers reveal professional cinematography and occasional impressive direction. The films are definitely of their time — the censor-inhibited 1940s pictures rely on spooky situations because they can’t show blood or too much violence. And a pair of low-end B&w ‘scope thrillers from the ‘fifties drive-in era do more with less, cutting corners in interesting ways. Viavision anoints the shows with expert commentaries and a couple of real surprises: an entire extra feature and a rare 1950s TV show.

Tinsley Mortimer and Scott Kluth have reportedly called it quits.
“The long distance just became really difficult. Tinsley is focused on reestablishing her life in New York,” a source told E! News. “They had a lot of fun, and who’s to say if it’s definitely over for good? I could see them getting back together at some point.”
Mortimer, 42, started dating Midwestern-born businessman Kluth after her Real Housewives of New York City castmate Carole Radziwill set the two up on a blind date in February. (Mortimer did not return People’s request for comment.)

Consider it an old lesson: If a stranger shows up on your porch, claiming to be your long-lost sister, maybe don’t automatically believe them. Such is the pickle that Allison Tolman’s Merle finds herself confronting in “Barracuda,” when young Sinaloa (newcomer Sophie Reid) appears, touting a shared genealogy that is only the tip of the metaphorical iceberg.
While the sisters eventually bond, long-simmering resentments on Sinaloa’s side — the pair apparently share a father, a country music star who influences her own musicianship — threaten to pull them apart. Or perhaps that’s what Sinaloa wanted the entire time? After the film debuted at this year’s SXSW, our Eric Kohn wrote that “Barracuda” is a “beautiful, haunting drama,” with a particular focus on how music ties together people (and maybe even pulls them apart).

Once NYC’s most photographed socialite, over the past decade Tinsley’s life has fallen apart following her high-profile divorce from her high-school sweetheart Robert Livingston “Topper” Mortimer. Bethenny Frankel puts it bluntly on this week’s Real Housewives of New York City, when she says: “She had the whole world at her finger tips, and kind of crashed and burned.” Tinsley, 41, and husband Topper split in 2009 before divorcing in 2013. Not all family reunions are happy ones. In Julia Halperin and Jason Cortlund’s “La Barracuda,” premiering this Saturday as part of SXSW’s narrative feature competition, sometimes they’re just downright sinister.
The duo’s new film, starring Allison Tolman and Sophie Reid, explores the unease of a new familial discovery when a so-called sister shows up unannounced. “Sisters. Strangers.” the film’s first teaser hints, and it looks like that’s only the beginning.

Per the film’s official synopsis, the film follows “a young British woman named Sinaloa [who] comes to Texas to find Merle, her half-sister by way of their dead country musician father. It doesn’t take long for Sinaloa to charm her way into Merle’s life. Her singing awakens something in Merle and erases some of the lingering doubts about their shared bloodline.

It's become fairly evident that Hustler founder Larry Flynt isn't a big fan of Texas Governor and Republican Presidential contender Rick Perry.
In an ad placed in numerous Texas-based publications, the porn king has put out a $1 million bounty for "documented evidence of an illicit sexual or intimate relations with the governor."
Flynt tells Reuters, "I've been doing this for 35 years. We've found running these ads were very successful in finding sources to come forward."
Flynt has quite the track record with this sort of thing. In 1999, it was another $1 million reward that rooted out an extramarital affair of then Speaker of the House Robert Livingston. Within days of the announcement, Livingston quit.
Perry is considered a frontrunner for the Republican nomination. In a recent USA Today/Gallup poll, Perry leads a crowded field with 31 percent of likely voters preferring him over Mitt Romney, who comes in at 24 percent.
