- George J. Lewis was born on December 10, 1903 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He was an actor, known for Zorro's Black Whip (1944), Radar Patrol vs. Spy King (1949) and Malice in the Palace (1949). He was married to Mary Louise Lohman. He died on December 8, 1995 in Rancho Santa Fe, California, USA.

- In 1944 he played the leading male role in Zorro's Black Whip (1944), which featured the first female incarnation of the masked avenger. Thirteen years later he was cast in the defining version Zorro (1957) as Zorro/Diego's father, Don Alejandro de la Vega.
- Dashing, black-haired Mexican-born actor who had the attractiveness of a Rudolph Valentino or a Ramon Novarro, but remained in the minor ranks throughout his career, primarily in westerns and action pictures.
