The show is also being disseminated internationally. The article states the show is slated for next year and the U.S. producing partner for the series is the former president of Wind Dancer Production Group, Rick Leed. Another producing partner is Kweku Mandela, Nelson Mandela’s grandson. We tend to think of reality stars as vapid and fame hungry, famous for being famous. It's a bit of a different situation with Africa's latest reality stars: they're the granddaughters of former President Nelson Mandela.
"We're definitely not the African Kardashians," Dorothy Adjoa Amuah said Thursday at a press conference announcing the show (via South Africa's Mail & Guardian Online). A 27-year old socialite with a law degree, Amuah is the youngest of the three granddaughters featured in the show; she will be joined by her older sister, Zaziwe Dlamini-Manaway, who has three children and is involved in a family business, and Swati Dlamini, a single mother with interests in charitable ventures.
The three women were raised in the United States and came back to South Africa for business and family reasons, and pledge that the show will depict a firm reality and family not sen in other, already established shows.

Pax TV has picked up two half-hour primetime game shows: On the Cover, a fast-paced pop culture trivia contest produced by Western International Syndication, and Balderdash, a co-production between the Hatchery and Mattel Entertainment based on Mattel's board game. On the Cover and Balderdash, the first products of the recently announced NBC-Pax program consulting agreement, are slated to run five nights a week. Pax has ordered 26 weeks of episodes of each show. Both series will debut in the summer, with On the Cover the first out the gate. On the Cover, exec produced by Lisa Jones Johnson, Jonathan Barry and Rick Leed, pits three contestants against one another in a trivia contest based on images from the covers of popular magazines and recent CD and DVD releases. Balderdash, exec produced by the Hatchery partners Margaret Loesch, Dan Angel and Bruce Stein, features three celebrity comedians giving two contestants bluff answers to a variety of questions.
