Her name was changed to Dixie Lee by the studio in 1929. This was the name of the "wanton woman" in the Edna Ferber novel Cimarron, which was made into a movie two years later.
Dixie was scheduled to appear a film called "No Favors Asked" in 1931 with John Wayne, but the film was never made and Wayne left Fox Film to free lance.
