With two cooking competitions airing simultaneously on Fox, is Gordon Ramsay concerned that people will think they’re exactly alike? That’s what Chris Leary of Kiis-fm in Los Angeles wanted to know when he spoke to Gordon on the phone! To find out the answer, listen to the interview here. If you’ve already listened to this weekend’s edition of Fox All Access on the radio, you’ve heard the sad news: After 18 years, we’re signing off the air.
Sure, we wish we could have kept the show going forever, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. So, just like Drs. House and Wilson did when “House” ended, it’s time for us to ride off into the sunset, heads held high.
From our days as the Fox Kids Countdown and Fox Family Countdown, to the decade we spent as Fox All Access, this radio show has been much more than just a job to those of us who have worked on it.
It’s been our passion.
We hope that’s come through in everything we’ve done, whether it’s the radio show, this website, our YouTube videos, or our social media updates.

Believe it or not, it’s true!

When Fox All Access host Chris Leary got to spend a few minutes backstage at the “American Idol” finale with Rima Fakih, as you’ll see in this video, he found out exactly why these beautiful women haven’t been able to meet their soulmates yet.

At the age of 21, Ed Sheeran has already conquered the UK music charts, with a platinum-selling album and a string of four consecutive Top 10 hits.
Now, he’s set his sights on America, and he’s already won over a lot of fans — including Taylor Swift, who’s asked him to help her write songs for her next album!
His first single, “The A Team,” has already started to climb the charts — and if you haven’t heard it, well, it has absolutely nothing to do with the TV show or movie. It is, however, a powerful, moving song — and if you haven’t seen the live rendition he recorded especially for us, you should.
Along with the live session, Ed talked with Fox All Access host Chris Leary about the song and its inspirations, along with plenty of other things, including his beginnings as a musician, his work ethic,...

This week Fox premieres two new dating shows, Take Me Out and The Choice.
In Take Me Out, hosted by actor/comedian George Lopez, 30 single beautiful women are introduced to several bachelors one at a time. Each woman stands at a lighted podium with a switch that controls her fate for a date: if she likes the looks of the guy, she keeps her light on; if she’s not impressed, then it’s lights out and she waits for the next potential Mr. Right. After several rounds, the bachelor takes his pick from the women who still have their lights on and the two enjoy a romantic fantasy date at the Take Me Out resort. The remaining 29, plus one new woman, return during the next game for another chance at finding the guy who will light up their lives.

Kiefer Sutherland returns to television tonight with the official world premiere of “Touch,” a new series that explores the seemingly random connections between this planet’s 7 billion inhabitants.
Sutherland stars as Martin Bohm, a man who lost his wife in the 9/11 attacks and has been raising their son Jake (David Mazouz) alone. It hasn’t been easy, though — Jake hasn’t uttered a single word in his entire life and won’t let anybody touch him.
But what he’s just starting to realize is that his son has the unusual ability to see patterns that aren’t just coincidences — they have global implications.
Fox All Access host Chris Leary went to the set of “Touch” and spoke with Sutherland about the show and the unique way in which it’s being rolled out to an international audience to encourage fans worldwide to talk… to “touch.”

Andy Grammer is getting ready to release his ”Live From L.A.” Ep on March 13 which will be available exclusively on iTunes. All the songs on the Ep were recorded in front of a live audience back in January in Los Angeles at the infamous Village Studios. A few things to definitely look forward to off this new Ep is the special duet he recorded with Colbie Caillat. The song they sang together, “Fine By Me.” Also, Andy sings a cover of Rihanna’s hit song, “We Found Love.” Andy is one talented dude!
Andy recently stopped by the Fox All Access studio to visit host Chris Leary and he was awesome enough to sing an acoustic version of “Fine by Me,” and we sure were fine with that! Make sure to hit us back up and let us know what you think of Andy’s “Live from L.A.

I’ll readily admit to being an Anglophile; I fell in love with all things British after my first visit to London in 1995. I especially love their music, and I’ll often get my fix by going online to listen to the BBC’s streaming radio broadcasts. That’s how I first heard about Ed Sheeran — when a BBC Radio 1 DJ chose his song, “The A Team,” as her “song of the week.” Sweetly melodic, but with a heart-wrenchingly haunting lyric, it was one of those songs that won me over the first time I heard it.

So I was thrilled to find out that Ed’s been picked up by a record label here in the States, and even more excited to find out we’d get a chance to bring him into the Fox All Access studios...

It’s been less than two years since Jack Bauer disappeared in New York City, never to be seen again (well, at least until the “24″ movie). And Kiefer Sutherland never imagined he’d be returning to television so soon. But, as he told Fox All Access host Chris Leary on the red carpet, opportunity works on its own schedule, and “Touch” was a show he just couldn’t pass up.
So, as you get ready to watch the special preview of “Touch” tonight, take a look a Kiefer and Chris’ conversation about the show.

Things get lost sometimes, and when they do, they need a finder. And that’s exactly what Fox has got. Last spring, “Bones” introduced us to Walter Sherman, a war vet who, after suffering a head injury, discovered he had an amazing — albeit eccentric — knack for finding those lost things.
Now, “The Finder” is a series of its own, and in last week’s premiere episode, we were introduced to Mercedes Masohn and Maddie Hasson. Mahson’s character, Isabel Zambada, is a U.S. Marshal who often needs Sherman’s help. Hasson plays Willa Monday, a conniving teen who’s lost her way and needs help finding herself.
Fox All Access host Chris Leary met up with the two ladies on the red carpet to talk about “The Finder,” Sherman’s amazing gift, and some other secrets viewers might find as they watch the show.

Taio Cruz is coming out with a new album, “Ty.O,” which is expected for release on January 2, 2012. The inspiration behind the album name? Simple. To make it easy for people to pronounce his name. The Script is one of those bands that you instantly fall in love with. They have a natural charisma about them and they make you feel like part of the band. These Irish dudes — Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power all have one thing in common…they are utterly grateful for everything they’ve got, where they’ve finally arrived and where they are headed. The band invited Fox All Access host, Chris Leary, down to a pub on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles to catch up. The crazy thing about the location is it brings back a lot of fond memories for lead singer Danny O’Donoghue. It’s Bootcamp week on The X Factor, which means we’re going to see some dancing, more singing, and plenty of dra-ma! We’ve already heard that Brooklyn teen-rapper Brian Bradley (the “Stop Lookin’ at My Mom” kid) declines to participate in the dancing training portion of the show because as Bradley puts it “Emcees don’t dance”, and that’s just for starters. Aside from the drama dancing, there’s going to be a quick singing elimination, group performances, and a final round of singing to determine who moves on to the next round (which includes a visit to one of the judges’ homes for more drama singing and some special mentoring).
Fox All Access host Chris Leary sat down with X Factor Judge/soon-to-be-mentor Paula Abdul and got her take on the mentoring process, why she says Simon might regret hiring her, and her strategy for making...

As Chris Leary mentioned on the Fox All Access radio show this weekend, Beyonce’s current hit, “Best Thing I Never Had,” was originally recorded as a more uptempo number before they decided to go the ballad route. One of the song’s writers, Patrick Smith, posted the original version on his website, and we figured we’d share it with you here.
Best Thing I Never Had (Original Version) by justinancheta
So, what do you think? Do you prefer the alternate uptempo version? Or did they do the right thing by turning it into a ballad?

When Matt Nathanson dropped by the studio to perform his hit single, “Faster,” we also had the chance to dive into the details of his new album, “Modern Love.” Matt told us what he thinks of modern day love in a world surrounded by technology and social media. This particular album was his most true and challenging project to date. He really put his heart and soul into the record and at times it got a little uncomfortable but the results are exactly what he is proud of. “Modern Love” is a nod to the one and only David Bowie and the sound his music steps back into the past in a way. Fox All Access host Chris Leary even heard a little George Michael in there. You’ll learn a lot about Matt in this interview — his guilty pleasure, who he absolutely envies, how he describes himself and of all things…...

Next Wednesday night on the American Idol season finale, Taio Cruz will take the stage to sing a brand new song that he just co-wrote. But here’s the twist: He’s written it with the help of about 15, 000 people or so — and he’s still not done yet! The song, “Positive,” is being written as part of the Coca-Cola Perfect Harmony program, which offers fans the opportunity to collaborate with some of today’s hottest artists. We went into the studio with Taio, and he talked about the process, explaining how it’s been done and how it’s coming along. As Taio will explain, there’s still time to help him finish the song, by visiting AmericanIdol.com. For now, though, check out Chris Leary’s interview with Taio.

Andy Grammer certainly questioned himself and what he was doing when he started out as a street performer at Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA not too long ago…but all that has changed because that ‘hope with no reason,’ according to Andy, finally has shined. All of his hard work pays off on June 14th when his debut album comes out! “Keep Your Head Up” is the new single, and it definitely plays into the theme of his struggle to make it as a successful musician. What’s funny is, there’s even a song on the new album called “Lunatic,” which describes what he felt like at times, insane, thinking his dream was never going to come true. Well, it has and Andy’s very humbled by all the support from his fans. Andy Grammer caught up with Chris Leary and shared his story with us, as...

Last year, New Boyz taught us all how to jerk, now they’re just ‘Too Cool To Care.’ It’s the name of their new album and their first single, “Back Seat,” is getting played everywhere on the radio. Ben J and Legacy were more than kind to stop by Fox All Access to catch up with host, Chris Leary. It’s amazing how humble these guys are, it wasn’ too long ago when they uploaded that infamous video that racked up over 60, 000,000 views on YouTube. They are extremely proud of their sophomore album, “Too Cool To Care,” which will be released on May 17th. They talk about what you can expect from the new album and they talk about the flip side of fame and how they’ve handled it. They’re not sweating the small stuff though, because they’ve got everything under control. So, after you pick...

Keri Hilson’s made it loud and clear that she prefers men to boys on her new album, “No Boys Allowed.” Her definition of a man includes someone who respects women, his priorities are intact, no arrogance, no jealousy, there needs to be a deep trust and she talks about all of these things on the album. Her latest single, “Pretty Girl Rock,” is quickly climbing the charts and it’s quite the woman anthem. Keri thinks every woman has the right to feel beautiful and that’s what she wants her fans to know. She stresses not to seek validation from outside influences, but instead from within. That’s where true beauty lies. Another topic we hit on was her love of, “Glee.” She told us she would definitely like to be a part of the show. Gleeks everywhere are singing for joy! Matthew Morrison released his debut single, “Summer Rain,” and stopped by Fox All Access to tell us all about it. Host, Chris Leary asked him the meaning behind the single he helped co-write and what was quite adorable was how Matthew blushed when answering this simple question. The official launch for “Summer Rain” at radio is scheduled for March 14th, but keep your ears and eyes open, Morrison’s upcoming debut album is set for May 10th. We’re definitely excited and looking forward to it! In the meantime, catch one of Matthew’s great friends, Gwyneth Paltrow , as she returns to ”Glee” this Tuesday, March 8th, as the substitute teacher Holly Holiday. Our old friends, Plain White T’s, made a return visit to our Fox All Access studios, and since they’d already played “Rhythm of Love” for us (check out that video here), they decided to switch things up a bit and play a cover.
Their choice: Cee-Lo Green’s Grammy-nominated “F*** You.”
(Although, now that we’ve got to contend with “The Chicago Code’s” Officer Jarek Wysocki — who won’t put up with any profanity — as a co-worker here at Fox, we had to “erase” the bad word. See, you don’t want to mess with Jarek… he’s one bad mother — er, dude.)
Anyway, enjoy the T’s brilliant version of the song, and check out their video interview with Chris Leary, coming soon.
