Was not originally cast as Adam Banks in The Mighty Ducks (1992) but instead as an unspecified player on the Ducks rival team, the Hawks. When the actor originally cast as Adam Banks was let go, he was approached to audition and won the role.
Stated in an interview with Time Magazine in 2014 that after working on D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994) and as he had gotten older, he realized that acting wasn't his "craft" but that he enjoyed working on The Mighty Ducks Trilogy and considered it a "life-changing event".
