"Entirely & totally experiential... Everything I do now is in relationship to a situation that already exists." Greenwich Ent. has unveiled an official trailer for a documentary titled Robert Irwin: A Desert of Pure Feeling, made by a filmmaker named Jennifer Lane. This originally premiered at the 2022 Doc NYC Film Festival last fall, and it also played at this year's SXSW Film Festival. Explore the life & career of legendary artist Robert Irwin, whose installations have radically expanded the possibilities of what art can be. Irwin began as a painter in LA's "Cool School" scene, before developing a whole new way of working that made perception itself the subject. Irwin's notable works include the Central Garden at the Getty Center in LA and his definitive creation - a huge installation in Marfa, Texas. I've actually seen his art in various exhibitions around the world, and it's really something else. It's truly a visceral experience,...

You would think that Jennifer Lane, showrunner for the long-running and beloved Netflix reality hit reboot “Queer Eye,” would be a little bit blase’ by now about this Emmy stuff. Both she and her show have, after all, won in the Best Structured Reality Program category a record five consecutive years going back to 2018, receiving 35 Emmy bids and 10 triumphs all told for its seven seasons. It earned six more noms this time, including once again in the reality program category as well as for its hosts known collectively as the Fab Five and a first-time honor for director Ali Moghadas. But it turns out that Lane isn’t indifferent to any of this at all. “It doesn’t ever get old, and I’m proud because it’s hard to get good (stuff) in reality,” she says. “People don’t realize it’s like we’re dancing backwards in high-heel shoes.
