- Andrew started in local theatre and as a cabaret singer. He gained fame as the lead role in the groundbreaking medical series "Cardiac Arrest"(1994) with Helen Baxendale. He followed this with roles in a number of TV dramas and more controversy in "Soldier Soldier" (1991), "Go Back Out" (1995) (TV) and "Queer as Folk" (1999). He has become a well established theatre and television actor and has had roles created for him in productions by the likes of Peter Gill and Russell T. Davies. He also appeared in the film "Wide-Eyed and Legless" with Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. Other television work includes "City Central" (1998), "The Vice" (1999), and "Mersey Beat" (2001).
