It looks like Padma Lakshmi and Terrance Hayes might be giving their romance a second chance!
The 53-year-old former Top Chef host and the 52-year-old poet were all smiles as they held hands during a walk around New York City on Monday afternoon (April 29).
For their outing, Padma looked pretty in a pink and red floral-print dress while Terrance sported an all black outfit.
If you didn’t know, Padma and Terrance dated in 2021 before splitting in November of that year.
Padma was most recently linked to black-ish creator Kenya Barris when they were spotted holding hands in late 2023.
Padma was previously married to author Salman Rushdie from 2004 to 2007 and shares daughter Krishna, 14, with venture capitalist Adam Dell.
In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Padma admitted that the “demands of two shows plus motherhood” made romantic relationships difficult to last for her.

Wednesday’s season 21 premiere of Top Chef is a hard reset in a number of ways, most obvious among them being the new host. For the first time in 19 seasons and just as many years, it isn’t Padma Lakshmi gently but decisively telling an unlucky hopeful to pack their knives and go. It’s Kristen Kish.
The season 10 winner, initially kicked off the competition before fighting back to the finale on spin-off Last Chance Kitchen, emerged as an early and clear favorite to fill Padma’s shoes when she announced her exit last summer. Kish has been a familiar face to the franchise since her 2012 win, expanding her TV horizons by hosting the Netflix update of Iron Chef and National Geographic’s Restaurants at the End of the World. But those who tune in to the start of Top Chef‘s Wisconsin-set cycle will notice that Kish isn’t the only change.

When Top Chef makes its long-awaited return for its historic 21st season, it’ll be with a new host, chef and TV presenter Kristen Kish. You may not only recognize Kish from her shows on the Travel Channel, TruTV, and National Geographic but also as a former Top Chef competitor.
In fact, Kish won her season of the competition show, after first being eliminated in season 10 but then making a comeback in Last Chance Kitchen to ultimately beat out 23 other chefs. It’s an impressive resume, to say the least, and there’s arguably no one more qualified to take on the job of host and judge on Top Chef than someone who’s actually been through the gauntlet.
As great as it is to see Kish as the new face of Top Chef, some longtime fans might be left wondering why former host Padma Lakshmi decided to step down from the show.

After 20 seasons, “Top Chef” has gone through some significant changes. Top Chef has a new host for the first time since its second season when Padma Lakshmi replaced Katie Lee Joel. For Season 21, Top Chef: Wisconsin, it’s Top Chef: Seattle alum Kristen Kish who’ll tell folks to “pack their knives and go.” But who is Kish? Though she might be familiar to superfans of the culinary competition show, here’s a breakdown of all the key details. How Is Kristen Kish Connected to the Top Chef Franchise? Kish was initially introduced to the Top Chef world as a Season 10 competitor in 2012, which she ultimately won. It wasn’t an easy path to victory for her, though, as she was initially eliminated during the “Restaurant Wars” episode. While the kids were soaking up scares and beefing up the box office with "Five Nights at Freddy's" this weekend, stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze brought the laughs over at "Saturday Night Live." Of course, the viewers who found their way over to "SNL" for the first time in awhile because of Bargatze's presence may have been put off by the show's absolutely terrible cold open (more on that later). Hopefully, Bargatze was enough of a draw to keep them around, so they could see the comedian step into the sketch comedy realm with moderate success.
As with almost every episode of "SNL," there were some absolutely fantastic sketches, some fairly average sketches, and at least one awful sketch (it's that cold open). But with Bargatze's stand-up routines known for having a dry, laidback demeanor, I was interested in seeing how Bargatze would be woven into the show. Not unlike the Bad Bunny episode,...

Christopher Walken wasn’t the only high-profile celebrity cameo on this week’s “Saturday Night Live” — former “Top Chef” host and “culinary icon” Padma Lakshmi lent her expertise to a memorable cooking skit that nearly had Heidi Gardner breaking character.
Lakshmi appeared in the “Chef Showdown” skit “Two Chefs, One Cuisine, One Winner.” Cast members Punkie Johnson and Kenan Thompson starred in the skit as judges of a soul food competition — and Thompson was really locked in and hilarious, causing Gardner to visibly stifle a laugh while setting the stage for Lakshmi’s entrance.
Thompson and Johnson were Rev. Jeremiah Fields and Ms. Maddie Johnson, respectively. The pair are judging food cooked by Ego Nwodim’s and Nate Bargatze’s contestants, Kelly and Dougie. Much to the dismay of Fields and Johnson, Bargatze’s Dougie is the chef behind the plate of soul food they enjoyed so much, which Nwodim...

Saturday Night Live has continued this season’s tradition of high-profile cameos in every episode. Tonight’s surprise guests included Christopher Walken in the Cold Open and Padma Lakshmi in a skit set at a cooking competition show in the vein of Top Chef, which Lakshmi hoisted for 19 seasons.
The SNL show, Chef Showdown, features “Two Chefs, One Cuisine, One Winner.”
The two chefs are played by SNL‘s Ego Nwodim and host Nate Bargatze. As the host, played by Heidi Garner, says in her opening, their showdown followed “an emotional week,” in which “we visited the oldest Black church in Georgia where we learned the origins of soul food in preparation for the soul food challenge.”
What transpires defies expectations — and preconceptions — to the shock of the judges and Lakshmi, who has the awkward task of handing out prizes. You can watch the sketch above.

Winning Top Chef Season 16 was one of Kelsey Barnard Clark’s proudest moments. But she admitted that becoming an overnight sensation isn’t just a big party and instant fame was a little shocking.
She’s had some time to reflect on those early years immediately following her Top Chef victory and said the platform has provided a stream of endless opportunities.
“I’m literally in California right now filming a show. So there’s your answer right there,” she teased during an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “No, it’s changed absolutely in the best way.”
“I will be very honest. The first two years after Top Chef were very difficult. Because in the situation with Top Chef, some of us at least, I was very much like not in the TV scene or anything,” she recalled.
“So I went from just like a normal mom in the...
