Hey Lrm Weekenders, we've hit double-digits! This week we're taking a dive into the odd career of martial artist-action star Steven Seagal, exploring the creations of Hellboy's Mike Mignola, and reaching back to the amazing, epic sci-fi films of the 80s. But first, in our editorial we explain why WB needs to stick a knife between the ribs of the Dceu and dump it into the nearest body of water.

Hey Lrm Weekenders, this week we're featuring some of the most intriguing, powerful, and successful women in Hollywood. Its easy to become fixated on our male action stars, since that's how Hollywood tends to market their films, so we sometimes fail to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of our female action stars! But first, we want to discuss the elephant in the room: the dwindling audiences at movie theaters -- we'll explore some problems, one potential solution, and hopefully provide some insight into an issue that's only going to get worse if everything remains status quo.

Hey Lrm Weekenders, you might notice a few changes to the column this week. As summer draws to a close we're moving some stuff around and tweaking our content to be a little more opinionated and provocative.
Each of our Lrm writers have super-strong opinions about film, TV, comics, and all of the big franchises and universes. So, going forward Lrm Weekend is going to amp-up our voices a bit more -- and we invite our readers to punch back whenever and wherever you disagree!

On Wednesday, we reported on some of the doubts that Universal is having regarding its Dark Universe, which will bring together characters like the Mummy, Frankenstein’s Monster, and the Invisible Man. Our own David Kozlowski has major doubts that this is one that can get off the ground. With its aging stars, he didn’t believe that this is something that can appeal to a young and growing audience.

This got everyone wondering what he could mean since he is supposed to be the one who would bring balance to the Force. There have been multiple theories online about what Luke could possibly mean from that statement.
