He was posthumously awarded a star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame at 6370 Delmar Boulevard in St. Louis, Missouri on May 16, 1993.
Posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2013).
Inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame (1983).
Famous for his powerful string-bending manner.
Best known for his songs "Crosscut Saw", "Blues Before Sunrise", "Born Under a Bad Sign" and "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven".
Albert King passed away on December 21, 1992, four months away from what would have been his 70th birthday on April 25, 1993.
