Abbey Robertson has joined Apostle Management, the management division of Denis Leary and Jim Serpico’s production company Apostle. Robertson, who was a manager at The Collective, joins George Heller in Apostle’s Los Angeles office. Prior to that, she was the co-founder with Melody Hammer of Adept Entertainment, a management and production company. Robertson’s focus will be on creating crossover opportunities for Apostle’s stable of actors, comedians and stand-ups, which includes Robert Kelly, Louis Katz, Nate Bargatze and Erin Foley. “Abbey has a great eye for talent and is well respected in the community,” Serpico said. Apostle’s TV division is posting new IFC series Maron, which will debut May 3, and recently finished half-hour USA pilot Sirens, co-written by Leary.

South By Southwest (SXSW) has officially announced the lineup for SXSW Comedy, which will take place from March 10 - 17 in Austin, Texas. The festival's comedy programming has grown considerably since last year, with showcases, live podcast tapings and interactive shows stretching continuously throughout SXSW for the first time. The festival has announced 62 comedians scheduled to appear, nearly doubling last year's roster of performers.
Although SXSW is known for its music, film, and more recently, interactive portions of the festival, the comedy programming looks designed to delight both devoted comedy fans as well as casual observers. In fact, five of the comedians who landed on HuffPost Comedy's favorite comedy albums of 2011 list will be performing at the festival.
Part of the fun of SXSW Comedy is not knowing which performers will show up at which shows, although a full list of confirmed comedians has been released (and can be found in...

Not that I should have to tell most of you the big TV news tonight but just in case; tonight is the season two finale for "Justified" so all of you out there who love you some Raylan Givens (I consulted IMDb for the correct spelling of that name since I've seen like three different versions in the comments) are going to be very sad for a while. I missed the beginning so I've got season 1 in my Netflix queue now and only recently (like, today, when I consulted IMDb) became aware that Jacob Pitts of EuroTrip fame is on this series which makes it extra intriguing to me because I love that movie so much that "Scotty Doesn't Know" was my ringtone for almost a year. And will be again, once I get around to putting it on my new phone. Anyway, here's your Wednesday night TV:

Montreal -- Montreal's Just for Laughs comedy festival wrapped its English-language industry showcase over the weekend without U.S. network talent scouts pulling out their wallets.
As in recent years, performing comics secured hearty applause and the occasional standing ovation at comedy's Woodstock, with possible deal-making to follow down the road after meetings back in Los Angeles or New York.
The big stage in Montreal as ever was the twice-nightly galas at the St. Denis Theatre, hosted Saturday night by Steve Martin, who brought his banjo and his Steep Canyon Rangers bluegrass band.
"It feels good to be doing something purely for the money," Martin joked while making his first-ever Just for Laughs appearance.
Dane Cook was a late and unpublicized addition to the gala bill, at the request of Martin.
"No one expected Cook, so it really surprised and delighted the (St. Denis) audience," Just for Laughs COO Bruce Hills said Sunday.
