- Was a successful dramatic actor, but after Hyppolit a lakáj (1931) he was typecast as a comedian and only appeared in comedies on stage and on screen.
- He left Hungary because of Nazism and arrived to the US in 1939. He thought that he would become a famous comedian (like in his homeland), but he wasn't discovered and slid into poverty. Finally he died by his 3rd heart attack in 1941.
