- Ilkka Järvi-Laturi was born on November 28, 1961. He was a director and writer, known for Darkness in Tallinn (1993), Kotia päin (1989) and Kiss, His First. He died on March 5, 2023 in Padasjoki, Finland.
- Currently lives in New York and has two projects: The Innocents and The Futurists.
- Said in a Finnish television interview that his favourite author is Alistair MacLean.
- Lives near the late World Trace Center buildings. He wrote to a Finnish newspaper Aamulehti about the 9/11 attacks and that his first reaction was to call his parents that he was okay.
