She was awarded the O.B.E. (Officer of the British Empire) in the 2002
Queens Honours Birthday List.
Founding member of theatre group Charabanc, and contributor to the
Dubbeljoint Theatre Company. Her award winning works include "Stones in
His Pockets" which played on Broadway, "A Night in November", and
"Women on the Verge of HRT".
Her play, "Stones in his Pockets", played at the New Ambassador and Duke
of York's Theatres, was awarded Best Comedy in 2001 (2000 season) at the
Laurence Olivier Theatre Awards.
She was awarded the 2000 London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best
Comedy for Stones in His Pockets performed at the New Ambassadors and
later at the Duke of York's Theatres.
