- On his solo album, "Going Public", released in 1977, he recorded a number of his own songs, two of which ("Disney Girls" and "Deidre") were previously recorded by The Beach Boys, and "I Write the Songs", which was a huge hit for Barry Manilow (US #1, 1975). Also included is his interpretation of the Lynsey de Paul-penned classic, "Won't Somebody Dance With Me".
