Yes, it’s Hammer’s grimy rags ‘n’ rock prehistoric saga, the notorious third caveman vs. dinosaurs spectacle that has no dinosaurs, leaving the ‘creatures’ of the title as a no-show. Director Don Chaffey does his best with a screenplay that Michael Carreras must have sketched on the back of a cocktail napkin. If you like rugged terrain and dusty dirty cavemen exposed to the elements — or you’re a Hammer completist — you’ve come to the right place.

While we have to wait a few more years to find out how the casting pans out, there's one thing that a Ben Affleck Batman does signal: no more appearances by Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Robin John Blake.
Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" concluded with Blake as the heir to Bruce Wayne's Bat-mantle, a development that would surely have led to a very interesting—and very different—status quo for Gotham City. But with Batman's fate now firmly tangled up with Superman's, a void has been created—one that filmmakers Woody Tondorf and Chris Landa hope to fill with "The Dark Knight Legacy."
The fan film has a teaser produced, one that shows off pretty high production values for a fanmade film. The clip also includes several notable Gothamites, most all of which were absent from Nolan's trilogy. The Red Hood, Penguin, Ventriloquist, and (get ready...

This story contains spoilers for 'The Dark Knight Rises.' "The Dark Knight Rises" may be Christopher Nolan's last visit to Gotham City, but is Batman dead? Or does he live on in the person of Joseph Gordon-Levitt? As revealed in the final installment of the Nolan series, Levitt's character John Blake, an honest Gotham cop with the idealism that Batman once had but soon lost, may have been promoted to more than just a detective. Near the end of the film, it's revealed that his legal name is actually Robin John Blake, which seems to carry certain meaning and purpose when he resigns the police force and inherits the Batcave. But does it mean what fans think it means? Will Levitt be the one to transition Batman from lone crime fighter to team player in the on-again, off-again Warner ...

Bruce Wayne might be gone, but the legend of Batman lives on in the capable hands of Robin John Blake — at least, that's the assumption we're left with at the end of "The Dark Knight Rises," and based on a new rumor, that assumption is looking to become a reality.
A rumor originating at HitFix states that "Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in 'Justice League' as the new Batman." Their report stems from "sources" who say that "conversations" about creating a greater DC Cinematic Universe are now "solidifying into a plan," a plan that involves Jgl seizing the cape and cowl as was his post-"Rises" destiny.
In fact, HitFix reports that Jgl could make his next appearance as Batman even sooner than "Justice League." They speculate that "Man of Steel" could close with Superman encountering Commissioner Gordon and Jgl-Batman on a rooftop in Gotham City, or some other similar scenario.

If "The Dark Knight Rises" left you confused over the final fate of Batman and John Blake, then you're in good company — if you count David Letterman as good company, at least.
The talk show host recently sat down with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and grilled the young actor about the ending of "Dark Knight Rises," particularly the specifics of what happened to the Caped Crusader in the film's final act. Spoilers ahead for the three of you who have yet to see the film.
Letterman apparently still wasn't clear if Batman died at the end of "Rises," despite the fact that Bruce Wayne is clearly seen enjoying life abroad with reformed cat burglar Selina Kyle.
"I think Bruce Wayne just had to get out of Gotham, so he left," explained Gordon-Levitt. "But is Batman the same as Bruce Wayne, or is Batman something more than a man?"

The second leg of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's kick-ass summer action movie tour hits theaters today: "Premium Rush," the bike messenger thrill ride starring future General Zod actor Michael Shannon. In other words, here's your one and only chance to see what a Robin versus Zod duel might look like with these Oscar-worthy actors in the roles.
Gordon-Levitt earns Hero of the Week status here on Splash Page, not just because of "Premium Rush" as a film, but because of the blood, sweat and tears he puts into his work — specifically the blood part.
During filming on "Rush," Gordon-Levitt was thrown into a cab and walked away with 31 stitches in his arm. Terrifying for everyone involved with the film, but for the actor? It was nothing.

"Yeah, 31 stitches in the arm. It happens," he said when MTV News spoke with him recently. "You gotta bleed for the art, man."

How did you feel about the way Christopher Nolan concluded his awesome Batman trilogy? There’s no denying it was absolutely epic but the final scenes involving Alfred Pennyworth and Billionaire Philanthropist Bruce Wayne was deemed a little too sentimental for some viewers, and as argued by What Culture writer Simon Gallagher in his piece The Dark Knight Rises: 10 Questions We Still Want Answered it was perhaps a little silly to expect Joseph Gordon Levitt’s Robin John Blake to just find the Bat Cave and be able to use the equipment etc with no formal training. Yes, Nolan is a master story teller and yes his Bat movies are completely amazing and awesome but maybe he should have taken advice from the guys over at How It Should Have Ended when thinking about his finale.

If there's one thing that we've all learned from watching Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, it's that Gotham can be a really awful place to live. It's overrun with corrupt businessmen, violent gangsters, and homicidal maniacs. If the Batman wasn't around to protect the innocent, who in their right minds would live there?
Bane's seizing control of the entire city is just the latest in a series of unfortunate events that have occurred in Gotham over the past few years. With a history rooted in exploitation and murder, Gotham has always been about as dangerous as it is beautiful. Honestly, we don't see the appeal at all. Which is why we've compiled a list of five stories that make the end of "The Dark Knight Rises" look like child's play.
Read on for other stories beyond "Rises" that make one thing clear: it absolutely sucks to live in Gotham!

Obviously it goes without saying there will be spoilers in this article;
The ending to Christopher Nolan’s last Batman film The Dark Knight Rises didn’t pass without controversy, but whether you love or hate what he did with, there’s no denying that its ambiguity made for a rather smart finale. There’s so many logical ways of reading the ending…
If you want to believe that Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne was killed in the nuclear explosion then there are several valid points that can back-up your theory and I wouldn’t say you were wrong. If you want to believe that Bruce Wayne lived and has now retired to settle down with Selina Kyle in Florence, leaving Robin John Blake with the keys to the Batcave as Gotham’s new protector, then that I can also believe.
But the question I am asking you today is a little different.

The Bee Gees' Robin Gibb, 62, has awoken from the coma he fell into last week, and his doctor now says the singer is battling colorectal cancer, according to news reports.
USA Today reported that Gibb underwent two operations, in addition to chemotherapy treatments, for his advanced colorectal cancer.
According to Rolling Stone, the aggressive treatments led to brain swelling as a result of liver failure. Gibb also developed pneumonia because his body was so weak; he lost consciousness last week.
However, Rolling Stone reported that his doctor is amazed by his recovery:
"Only three days ago, I warned Robin’s wife, Dwina, son, Robin John and brother, Barry, that I feared the worst," Gibb's physician and gastroenterologist, Dr. Andrew Thillainayagam, said in a statement released today by Gibb's representative. "We felt it was very likely that Robin would succumb to what seemed to be insurmountable obstacles to any form of meaningful recovery.

After more than a week unconscious, former Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has emerged from a coma thanks to his "iron will," his doctors said Sunday. The 62-year-old musician faces an uncertain future, with more treatment for advanced bowel cancer, pneumonia and liver failure ahead. But for one day at least, his medical team was cheered. Robin Gibb has awoken from a coma in London, overcoming what his doctor calls "quite incredible odds."
In a statement Sunday, Gibb's gastroenterologis Dr. Andrew Thillainayagam said that it was Robin's "extraordinary courage, iron will and deep reserves of physical strength" that got him to a place where he is fully lucid, following a period where doctors feared the worst.
Robin Gibb Reveals Treatment for Serious Illness
Dr. Thillainayagam explained in the statement that Gibb's advanced colorectal cancer had "responded extremely well" to chemotherapy, but the need for Gibb, 62, to have two surgeries in two months led him to develop pneumonia, which did not respond to treatment and led to his coma.
"The prognosis was very grave, given that Robin had brain swelling from liver failure, a severe pneumonia and a weakened immune system from malnutrition," Dr. Thillainayagam explained, continuing, "Only three days ago, I warned Robin’s wife, Dwina, son, [link...
