Writer-Director-Actress Faleena Hopkins was born on August 16, 1970, raised in the California Bay Area. Once a stand-up comic for five years in Los Angeles, Faleena now writes novels with more than 40 published and over a million copies sold worldwide.
In 2018 she filmed the movie "Just One More Kiss" which, in 2019, won Best Feature Film at BAFF (Big Apple Film Festival) and subsequently received a distribution deal in partnership with Lionsgate, launching in art-house theaters Feb. 20, 2020 just before the pandemic shut them down.
She lives in Manhattan, the city featured in many of her fiction novels, and the location where "Just One More Kiss" was filmed.
One of Faleena's jokes from her stand-up comedy days is quoted on page 87 of The Comedy Bible by Judy Carter - in between jokes by Chris Rock and Robin Williams.
