19-year-old Julian Hernandez was kidnapped as a boy, but has since forgiven the man who took him - his father. According to local news site Cleveland.com, Julian took the stand on Wednesday, testifying on his father's behalf, despite being taken from his mother's home by his dad, Bobby Hernandez, in 2002 when he was just 5 years old. "He loved me and protected me more than anybody else could during my life," Julian said in court. "I don't know what else to say other than do not send my father to jail. Even if other people can't, I forgive him for what he's done.

"Biutiful," Mexico's foreign-language Oscar submission, made its worldwide debut in Cannes earlier this year, where Bardem won best actor for his role as an underworld businessman.
Festival director Daniela Michel told reporters at a Wednesday news conference that Gonzalez Inarritu, Bardem and Argentine actress Maricel Alvarez will attend the film fest, which runs from Oct. 16-24. "Biutiful" will screen out of competition.
Also programmed for this year's event is a retrospective spanning the career of Terry Gilliam, which includes all 12 of his feature films. Gilliam will be on hand as a special guest.

The New York Lgbt Film Festival is almost upon us, and we'd take a look at some of the most promising-looking offerings. NewFest (which this year is being presented by our parent company, Logo) will run from June 4-11, with the opening night entry a date with Mr. Right:

"The aspirations and romantic tensions of a group of London gay men come to life in this vibrant rom com set against a hip soundtrack. A soap star, a reality TV producer, a model, a rugby star and father, and their fag hag see old ties begin to fray over a summer that their friendships may not survive, in NewFest’s opening night gala event."
Join us below for a look at a few of NewFest's other entries ... and there's absolutely no truth to the assertion...

Berlin -- Richard Loncraine's "My One and Only," a '50s-era comedy starring Renee Zellweger and Kevin Bacon, was squeezed into the competition lineup for this year's Berlin International Film Festival, barely a week before the event kicks off.
Zellweger plays a glamorous single mom on the hunt for a rich man to foot the bill for her and her sons' lifestyle. Produced by Merv Griffith Entertainment and Ray Gun Prods., "My One and Only" will have its world premiere in Berlin. Essential Entertainment is handling international sales.
Berlin also added Lone Scherfig's Sundance favorite "An Education" with Peter Sarsgaard, Alfred Molina and Emma Thompson and Davis Guggenheim's music documentary "It Might Get Loud" for its Berlinale Special Galas, ensuring the films will get the red carpet treatment without any of the pressure of competition.
All three films should give an added boost of star power to...
