This week on Fox’s 24: Legacy, Carter literally banged down walls in order to get his hands on the flash drive, while viewers learned exactly who was behind the leak that put the Army Rangers in harm’s way.

If you thought that 24: Legacy was borderline restrained with its post-Super Bowl premiere — only raising our collective eyebrow with the almost-routine tasering of a CTU boss — Episode 2 was here to reassure you that “ridiculous” will still be in abundant supply.
Poll24: Legacy Will You Make Time for the Real-Time Revival?
First and foremost, there was the next leg of former Army Ranger Eric Carter’s scramble to reclaim the flash drive containing the late Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid’s U.S. sleeper cells and activation codes. Dealing with an “angry and unstable” Grimes, Carter learned that his...

Season 1 of HBO’s Westworld brought with it a large amount of twists and turns, some expected and others more predictable. While the identity of The Man in Black (Ed Harris) was figured out by fans several weeks before it was revealed in the finale, it was still no less of a shocker. We may have known it was coming, but the moment where we finally see that The Man in Black is actually William (Jimmi Simpson) is still quite effective and will no doubt be remembered as one of the show’s more powerful moments.
As with many of Westworld‘s twists, most of the cast were kept in the dark on this, including Simpson. Throughout production, however, the actor began to clue in thanks to a slip up by one of the makeup artists on the show. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Simpson reveals how he first discovered that...

Last year Gold Derby presented Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris with a list of suggested jokes. They were traditional Academy Award jokes – designed to poke fun at the nominees without being malicious. Remember, those people are incredibly nervous at the start of ceremony. The right opening monologue can help to break the tension, and put the nominees at ease. That sets the tone for the rest of the show. But Mr. Harris and his team ignored our gags. And will he ever emcee the Oscars again? Fortunately, our good pal Chris Rock is hosting this year. Chris, the last time you and I spoke, I told you what a great job you did in 2005. You were hysterical. This year, we know that you can be even better. So here are some complimentary Oscar jokes just for you, courtesy of Gold Derby. Use as many of them as you want. And...

If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's this there's very little that Neil Patrick Harris cannot do. Whether it's swinging from a giant Tony Award at Radio City Music Hall, penning a best selling memoir, or suiting up as everyone's favorite eternal bachelor, it's safe to say Mr. Harris is a man of many talents. So when it was announced he would be starring in his own variety hour this fall, there was little doubt he'd be able to pull it off. That being said, there were also expectations. Large expectations. But more on that later.

Theirs is a rarely-found romance, and Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are obviously and completely in love with each other.
During her finale at the Staples Center on Tuesday night (August 25), the “I Knew You Were Trouble” songstress looked over at her Scottish stud and mouthed the words, “I love you,” and of course one of her fans caught the whole thing on camera.
Given Swifty’s long string of not-so-awesome previous relationships with celebrities like Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Harry Styles, it’s amazing to see her so happy with Mr. Harris!

Former Tony and Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris is extending his emcee portfolio to the Oscars: he's tapped to host the 87th annual Academy Awards on Feb. 22. Harris confirmed the news via Twitter like only he could... http://t.co/ZG1EC9ooxK — Neil Patrick Harris (@ActuallyNPH) October 15, 2014 The news was first reported by Variety. It's a perfectly safe choice for show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who will be at it for a third straight year this time around. After negative fallout (but a boost in ratings) from the Seth MacFarlane-hosted 85th annual show two years ago, they went with former host Ellen DeGeneres last year, and in Harris (who also stars in David Fincher's "Gone Girl," currently in release), they will get a consummate showman who won't ruffle too many feathers, but certainly won't be boring. He's no stranger to awards in general, given the hosting gigs over the years,...

On September 7th, Calvin Harris will drop his new track that he’s been working on with John Newman. Titled Blame, the DJ has been teasing this one for a few weeks now and today, thanks to two different Instagram videos, we get to hear an additional 30 seconds of material from the song.
The first video comes to us courtesy of Mr. Harris himself while the second one was posted to the Hakkasan Las Vegas Instagram account, where the DJ currently has residency. Of course, it’s tough to form an opinion on a song based on two, 15-second clips, but I definitely like what I hear so far.
These two videos, combined with the one that Harris posted a while back (which we’ve also embedded below) give us a good feel for what we’re going to get from the song and as of now, I’m on board with it.

It's not all that often that people who have brought us iconic horror films are given stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which makes us all the more proud today of Jack L. Harris, the producer of the original 1958 version of The Blob. Read on for the exciting details!

"Teen Wolf," you have officially blown my mind with "Illuminated." In what may have been the greatest single episode of this excellent show, we got supernatural selfies, a black-light party, near-infinite amounts of shirtlessness, evil Smoke Ninjas ... and Stiles.

But sadly, another wolf bites the dust. Find out which pack member didn’t last the night!
The July 15 episode of Teen Wolf introduced yet another phrase into fans’ vocabularies, “True Alpha,” as Scott (Tyler Posey) reached a new level in his own personal wolf-y evolution. Apparently pushing himself beyond his limits to save — or at least attempt to save — Dr. Deaton’s life turned Scott into a full-blown alpha wolf without having to be turned by someone else! Score?
Yes, score! Especially since this apparently only happens every hundred years, or so. But what does Scott becoming a “True Alpha” mean for the rest of Beacon Hills’ furry population? That remains to be seen, and I can’t wait to find out!

In its first two seasons Teen Wolf pulled off some pretty spectacular storylines, and now we are finally getting a taste of what the show can do with twice as many episodes and half the rush.
There were some great moments on this episode of Teen Wolf, starting with a teacher that obviously hasn’t learned her lesson. Last week we saw Beacon Hill’s newest English teacher, Miss Blake (Haley Webb), find herself in a very wrong place at a very wrong time. Fortunately for her, she came out of it physically unharmed and with a real-life tragic hero to boot. And I’ll just go ahead and say what so many viewers were thinking, Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) can save me anytime!

Now that we're four episodes into "Teen Wolf" Season 3, it's time to begin puzzling over the identity of the Big Bad. Last season, it was the kanima (and the person controlling that monster). This season, it seems to be an evil, serial-killing, human-sacrificing druid with an awesome soundtrack.
So who is the darach? We rank the 10 most likely choices here:
1. Jennifer Blake, English teacher and Derek Hale potential love interest
Look at the facts: Ms. Blake is new. The freaky birds attacked her class at school. Mr. Harris, who seemed to know his attacker, was a co-worker. This English teacher randomly hangs out in high-school boiler rooms shortly before dawn. Her being a good guy would make Derek happy.
Obviously, Jennifer Blake is evil. But is she creepy-music-toting evil?
2. Gerard Argent
Remember how Grandpa Gerard went and disappeared mere seconds after he supposedly died in a fountain of black goo in the Season 2 finale?...

We need to get something straight here. Nobody likes to see a dog killed on television and nobody likes to see a boy who loves his dog killed on television. Especially a virgin! That's exactly what we witnessed on "Unleashed" and it did not make me happy.
We still don't know a damn thing about what's going on with the killings in town other than they are druid-related and Mr. Harris was helping the murderers, but we learned a bit about Deucalion. He's a turd.
I'm sorry, I wish I was more invested in the Alpha storyline, but I'm not. At all. They are boring as all get out. I actually laughed out loud when Duke (hey, that's what bad-pedi-alpha called him) blew his top screaming that he was the apex of alphas, the "demon wolf." "Teen Wolf" continues with its parade of disturbing deaths in "Unleashed." This time, it's Mr. Harris (Adam Fristoe), the chemistry teacher, who falls prey to the serial killer/supernatural creature/messed-up druid of Beacon Hills.
But what is the purpose of this sad death, a departure that deprives us of the most messed-up Beacon Hills High teacher? Find out in this recap.
Human sacrifice: It's not just for virgins anymore!
We can all rest easy: The creepy killer of virgins has moved on in "Unleashed." The newest murder victims have all had plenty of sex in their lives, so that's no longer the motive. But what is?

Plus, three more corpses pop up in Beacon Hills! (Why am I not surprised?)
If you’re a big fan of dudes getting tortured, I’m sure you loved all of the Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) scenes on the June 24 episode of Teen Wolf. The evil Alphas — headed by the blind, yet super-terrifying Deucalion (Gideon Emery) — interrupted Derek’s training session with Cora (Adelaide Kane) to drop some serious knowledge. For starters, we finally found out why Deucalion is so revered by his evil pack: He’s been absorbing other werewolves’ powers, and now…
He’S The Demon Wolf!!!
I’m not entirely sure what means, but there was a lot of lightning when he said it, so he’s clearly not f***ing around anymore.
Messin’ With The Twins
Isaac (Daniel Sharman) finally figured out that the twins at school are the same twins that attacked him on the season...

Looks like it’s time for another “inspired by true events” night at the multiplex. It’s not a heavy drama or political thriller, not even a mushy tear-jerker. Nope, this is a raucous, raunchy R-rated comedy about kidnappers. Uh, uh, felons. And it’s from that master of big screen comedy Michael Bay. Yup, fresh off the Transformers trilogy. Well, this flick is about some larger than life characters, though not several stories tall like the Autobots. Bay can do the big explosions and gun battles, but can he really dive into the Apatow territory? You’ll get to find out in Pain & Gain.
The main focus of P&G is the gang’s ringleader (mastermind is stretching things a bit), Danny Lugo (Mark Wahlberg). It’s South Beach, Florida circa 1995 and Lugo’s an ex-con (a shady investment racket) now working as a fitness trainer at Sun Gym.

Dowdy spinster Ingrid (Michelle Pfeiffer) enlists an unlikely assistant to help her live a bucket list of resolutions before the clock strikes a full stop on another downtrodden year. With only a few hours until the ball drops, Paul (Zac Efron) must get creative to secure tickets to the party of the year and play Fairy Godmother to New Year’s Eve-averse, love-averse, roommate Ashton Kutcher. Swoonsome BFFs Zac and Ashton are but two of a galaxy of stars pinballing around the sugar-sweet heart of Garry Marshall’s ensemble rom-com, clocking up crushes and coincidences galore along the way.
In fact the festive offering quite overflows with ‘names’, some more surprising than others. The two boys are in familiar territory, as are popcorn princesses Katherine Heigl and Lea Michelle. (Mr. Kutcher spends much of his screen time trapped in a lift with the latter which does wonders for his character’s ”love sucks” philosophy!

You’ll tune in every week to see their bright, shining faces, but no one would blame you from running from the theaters when they’re newest pictures come out. The following is a list (though certainly not a definitive one) of a list of the wonderful actors and actresses who shine on the small screen, but can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to the opening week box office. Some names might just surprise you, as they did me when I did the necessary research. Love them or hate them (though, I’ll bet you love most of them), here are six fantastic television actors with hardly any good movies (if any).
Note: this list does not include roles in animated films, directing, writing, or producing credits, or cameos (playing themselves or another character). Television movies and mini-series do not count as cinematic endeavors. I ask...

Teen Wolf 2.10 Review - Kanimas, Answers, and Gamechangers Galore!
Clap. Clap. Clap. Well done, Teen Wolf. Well freaking done.
Last night's Teen Wolf deserves applause, flowers, and a standing ovation for not only giving the fans the answers we have clamored for all season, but for also laying the foundation for the sh*tstorm to come. Now before I begin the indepth review, I must give Jeff Davis major props for a tight script that weaved all of his storylines into one cohesive, unforgettable hour of Teen Wolf yet. Plus, the episode echoed elements Buffy the Vampire Slayer's second season (I will get into how a bit later), but not to the point of complete plagiarism since The Vampire Diaries did something a little similar in their second season as well. With that said, there were a couple of quibbles I had with the episode, namely the sloppy assault on the police station,...

Teen Wolf: Karma Kamina
Well, damn. What just happened on Teen Wolf? Answer: a whole freaking lot! Where do we even begin?
Lydia's New Friend is Actually An Old Enemy
Who would have pieced together that Lydia's new friend's identity was either an alter-ego or younger version of Peter Hale? No one and that's what made it brilliant. There was a theory that the guy was not real to begin with, but that's as far as speculation went. So what in God's name could Peter want Lydia to do? And what could it have to do with the wolfsbane flower? Is she supposed to move the flower away from Peter's "grave?" If that's the case, Derek's reign as Alpha might be over...

When young Sally Hurst (Bailee Madison: Just Go With It) arrives in Rhode Island to visit her father Alex (Guy Pearce: Animal Kingdom) and his new girlfriend (Katie Holmes: Batman Begins) at the Victorian mansion they are restoring, she already feels like an outsider and her ornate new home seems a cold and unwanted prison. Finding comfort and escape in her solitary exploration of the property, and despite the warnings of the caretaker Mr. Harris (Jack Thompson: The Good German), Sally embarks on an...

We have the remake from producer Guillermo del Toro to thank, but the Warner Archive Collection has redone the 1973 original to coincide with the release of the redo. In what I hope is a sign of things to come for the Archives collection, they even include some special features as well as a new transfer. Sally Farnham (Kim Darby) has inherited her grandmother.s old dark house. Her husband Alex (Jim Hutton) is an ambitious attorney. She sets about redecorating the mansion with an interior designer (Pedro Armendariz Jr.). Mr. Harris (William Demarest) is an older man who did renovations for Sally.s grandmother and the couple has hired him to do repairs as well. Sally and the...

Teen Wolf Episode 1.9 "Wolf's Bane" Written By: Johnathon Roessler Directed By: Tim Andrew Original Airdate: 25 July 2011 In This Episode... Mr. Harris, the chemistry teacher, is talking to a shadowy monster, presumably the alpha. He is frightened. Derek comes in and rescues Harris. The police show up, too, which leads to a big chase scene: Derek on foot, being chased by the police, watched (then fired upon) by the Argents, and followed by Scott and Stiles in Derek's car. Derek fills them in: Harris had in his possession what his sister was "working on" before her death. All he has to show for it is a sketch - of Alison's necklace. Later on, when...

Wow, Teen Wolf, I soooooo did not expect that reveal. Well kind of.
This is going to be a full on speculation post. If you have not seen this episode, then exit out now!!!
So! Whoever guessed that Derek's uncle Peter was the Alpha in the comments section, please pat yourself on the back. You so deserve it. When my top suspect, Mr. Harris, was revealed to not be the Alpha in the first scene, I nearly balked and thanked God that I didn't bet any money in that pool. However, that same opening scene pretty much revealed who the Alpha was with the beast accusing Mr. Harris for harming him. It took me a while to connect the dots, but the reveal in the hospital still had me gasping for air by the end of the hour.
Why did Peter kill Laura? He claimed he didn't want to and that it was a mistake,...

For those of you who have not done so yet, trust me: join the fun on MTV Mondays, where Teen Wolf continues to be one of the best new shows of the summer.
Case in point: "Wolf's Bane" was filled with excitement, surprising reveals, and a shirtless Derek Hale! What more could you ask for?
A pair of exhilarating action sequences were used as bookends, as things began with Derek saving Mr. Harris from the Alpha and then getting chased by the cops. Everything ended with a new addition to the Teen Wolf repertoire: Derek Hale getting demolished in a fight. Both scenes were tons of fun to watch, serving as quality anchors for a much more dialogue friendly core of the episode.
Yes, Derek Hale was dismantled by the Alpha, who, in a strange turn of events, ended up being his uncle! It was definitely funny watching Stiles get...

Give or take one or two effective horrors (Mother's Day, Julia’s Eyes), it's been a pretty thin year for scares so far. The second half should up the goose quota, though, with the Guillermo del Toro-produced Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark kicking things off haunted-house style. The movie’s got a bony-fingered new one-sheet freshly crafted to creep you out.Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark is set in a creaking Victorian mansion in Rhode Island. A young couple, Alex (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend Kim (Katie Holmes), move in with grand plans of restoring it to former glories but, like that episode of Location, Location, Location where Kirstie and Phil are possessed by satanic beasties, things go downhill fast on the renovation front. Alex’s young daughter Sally (Bailee Madison) turns up and accidentally unleashes something – or ‘things’ - scary and horrible.They...

Paramount A scene from ‘Super 8′
Sci-fi thriller “Super 8″ grossed an estimated $37 million over the three-day weekend, exceeding earlier projections thanks to a late-week marketing surge that included sneak previews and an effort to generate social media buzz.
Released by Viacom Inc.’s Paramount Pictures, the $50 million film had been expected to take in $25 million to $30 million domestically. In addition to its weekend earnings, “Super 8″ made an additional $1 million on Thursday, following a well-promoted campaign with Twitter Inc.

Back in 1998, at the Ifp Film Market, Thomas Ethan Harris, then the director of the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, strongly recommended an unknown film called Aberdeen. I followed his advice and was startled. Where most of the market films were by-the-book attempts to replicate commercial formulas, Aberdeen was a distinctive comic vision that followed none of the rules and managed to weave together wild abstraction and documentary observation as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
I assumed I'd hear about Aberdeen soon, but I never did. I don't know what adventures the film had after the Ifp market, but it never received a public screening, and no one but me (and the vigilant Mr. Harris, whom I never saw again) seemed to know anything about it. Good films often fall through the cracks, but this was an extreme case.

Oh man, we are getting so spoiled with the goodness coming out of the rehearsals for “Company” this week! The New York Times is featuring an article describing how the show is being put together, which as you can imagine is not at all easy when most of your stars already have day jobs. They’ve had to resort to some creative rehearsing options which I find fascinating. But the best part of the article is where they mention that the show will be recorded to be shown in movie theaters in June!

Yes, Zoners, you read that right – Stephen Colbert will be performing in the Stephen Sondheim musical “Company” along with Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone and Martha Plimpton. According to the New York Times ArtsBeat blog:
In addition to Mr. Harris, who as the birthday-boy bachelor Robert will be wrapping his vocal cords around songs like “Marry Me a Little” and “Being Alive,” the Philharmonic said on Tuesday that its cast would feature Patti LuPone as the much-married Joanne, who belts out “The Ladies Who Lunch”; Anika Noni Rose as Marta, the girlfriend who sings “Another Hundred People”; and Martha Plimpton as Sarah, a wife with an aptitude for martial arts.
Representing the Y-chromosome set, Jim Walton will play Larry, the conciliatory husband of Joanne. Oh, and playing Harry, the semisober husband of Sarah, is Stephen Colbert, the comedian, television host, art lover and patriot.
And, in case you’re wondering,...
