Black Bear will launch sales for Fifth Season’s crime thriller “She Rides Shotgun.” The picture will feature Taron Egerton and will be based on John Harper’s acclaimed novel. Nick Rowland (“Calm With Horses”) will direct from a screenplay by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski.
The logline reads: “After years in prison, Nate (Egerton) has made some dangerous enemies, including the powerful criminal gang he worked for on the inside. Desperate for a fresh start, Nate cuts ties with his old crew on his release from prison, but the gang retaliates by putting a hit on his family. Nate picks up Polly, the shy eleven-year-old daughter he hardly knows and goes on the run to keep her out of harm’s way.”

Saweetie and her best friend Joelle James live the Icy life aboard a yacht, which both jump off into the ocean. Pic credit: @saweetie/Twitter
Saweetie is living her best life after months spent recording her debut album, and there is new footage featuring her fun times on a yacht.
She and a friend soaked up the sun rays aboard a yacht, and each lady wore their tiniest bikini for the occasion.
The athletic USC graduate climbed to the top of the boat and jumped into the water with her friend by her side. Luckily for fans, the whole thing was on camera.
A video featuring the ladies appeared on the Instagram Story of Saweetie’s friend, and a Saweetie fan page re-posted the clip.
The video began with Saweetie and her friend in bikinis with blue skies in the background. Saweetie wore a barely-there pink bikini with a string top and a thong bottom.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: What’s the most memorable death — scripted please! — you’ve seen on TV? It could be disturbing, crazy, heartbreaking, etc. Old and current shows fair game.
Tim Surette (@timsurette), TV.com
I can’t seem to scrape the death of Charlie in the Season 3 finale of “Lost” from my mind — I can remember every part of that scene so many years later. There was something about the way the scene was written and shot that was just perfect, and even though it was the perfect time to say goodbye to the character, it was still hard to let him go. Charlie died a hero, dudes. Driveshaft forever!

Child actor who memorably played the 12-year-old John Harper in the 1955 film The Night of the Hunter, starring Robert Mitchum
The acting career of Billy Chapin, who has died aged 72, ended 57 years ago, though his memorable performance in The Night of the Hunter (1955) has become an indelible part of film history. Charles Laughton’s only film as director is an eerily beautiful parable of good and evil, its bold visual style derived from the rural dramas of Dw Griffith, German Expressionism and American folk art.
Most of Chapin’s previous roles, where he displayed a gravitas, contrary to the label “cute” often affixed to child stars, persuaded Laughton to cast him in The Night of the Hunter. As Laughton told Davis Grubb, the author of the original novel, “What I want is a flexible child, and the boy is exactly that … he has innate ability to understand the construction of a scene,...

It has been a decade since Ryan Atwood (Benjamin McKenzie) had his first entree into life in "The O.C.," bringing fans of teen soap along for a look at life inside the mansions of Newport Beach. The Fox drama, which premiered on August 5, 2003, was filled with envelope-pushing sexual encounters, Juicy Couture jumpsuits, Death Cab for Cutie, trips to T.J. and much, much more.
Josh Schwartz was a day shy of 27 when "The O.C." first hit the airwaves, which made him the youngest TV creator ever and probably, one of the only ones who would admit to penning a highly-acclaimed pilot in his boxer shorts.
From the real story behind Mischa Barton's departure to the Cohens' original name, and the missed coupling opportunities to the star who didn't even make it onto "The O.C.'s" first poster, read on to see what Schwartz revealed to The Huffington Post while...

Benvenuti in O.C., una brutta.
The last time Adam Brody saw an episode of "The O.C.," now five years in syndication, he was in Italy for the Venice Film Festival.
"I was in Rome for 'Damsels in Distress' last September. They had it in Italian. It was a funeral. I couldn't remember who died, but I think it was -- I don't know. The kid, Ryan, is his real name. He had longer hair."
That would be Ryan Donowho, who played Johnny Harper, Marissa Cooper's season three surfer bestie. He tragically died after falling off a cliff.
"It was a very sad 'O.C.'" Brody recalled.
Brody might be best known as Seth Cohen from the now-seminal teen series, but since putting the Death Cab for Cutie records on pause, he's made strong inroads toward a feature film career. That continues this week with the release...

"$#*! My Dad Says," which is based on a Twitter account where a son tweets funny things his dad says, is the highest-rated new show in the 18-49 demo. Now CBS has announced that another Twitter account, Shh Don't Tell Steve, is also being developed into a sitcom.
Shh Don't Tell Steve is one man tweeting random quotes, actions and observations about his partying, jobless roommate Steve. How it will translate to sitcom form is anybody's guess, but we'd like to offer a few suggestions of Twitter accounts that would make better television programming.
Joshua Malina, (@joshmalina)
You may know Josh Malina from his work on such shows as "SportsNight," "The West Wing" or "In Plain Sight," but he really shines on Twitter. Self-deprecating, frequently cranky and not afraid to explore and chronicle the mundane. It's like he's one of us.
Sample tweets: "Betty White is the new chair of the La Zoo Assoc.

Amy Poehler is back on "Saturday Night Live" for its 36th season premiere episode. Watch above as she and cast member Kenan Thompson question musical guest Katy Perry about her first hit single "I Kissed a Girl."
The second episode of the season should prove quite good as well, Bryan Cranston, the Emmy-winning star of "Breaking Bad," is hosting and Kanye West is the musical guest. We hope they find a way to work Kanye into at least a couple sketches. As John Harper so wonderfully points out, you could put "Liz Lemon" into any Kanye tweets and he suddenly becomes Tracy Jordan.
"Saturday Night Live" airs Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. Et on NBC. Will you be tuning in for Poehler's return?
